Extra staff is on hand, as Barney's Firearms gets ready for the anticipated crowds this weekend, many preparing for the upcoming dove season.
"They wait all year for this opening weekend and if they can get prepared by coming in this weekend and buying some extra supplies, it's gonna help the state, it's going to help our business." said Sean Ortego, Manager at Barney's Firearms
This holiday weekend, all firearms, hunting supplies wont be taxed. This will be the first tax exemption of its kind in the state.
"That really boosts, you know, peoples confidence, and it lets them see that the state is maybe in there to help them." said Ortego
"So I think it's a nice thing to have a tax free availability." said Sasha Lambert
We caught up Michael Collins, walking out empty handed, he says he's coming back Saturday to buy a new gun.
