Amodei announces for U.S. Senate (Reid challenger)

Republican State Sen. Mark Amodei kicked off his campaign for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Harry Reid today, telling reporters that he’ll run a positive campaign in the crowded primary, but that plenty of people in Nevada want to get rid of the incumbent.

“When you look at where Nevada is right now, I think we’re at a financial crossroads. We do not need the status quo,” said Amodei, who is from Carson City. “The focus really needs to be on Nevada right now.”

Oh, I get it.

Let me make this cystal clear. I, and I hope millions like me, will ever only support a valid conservative canidate. You make the case that we should keep doing the "typical" repub thing which has been going on for a decade and giving us not just political loses, but culture degradation.

Perceived rino? Here's my perception - Any canadite with an (R) by their name who shows tendencies to side with dems, be totally disloyal to the party, undermind the party agenda, is moderate, is NOT a conservative, or hold conservative values. Anyone who would raise taxes, Proabortion, progay agenda, Amnesty inclined, sucks up to the MSM for 15 minutes, talks about bipartisanship like it's a badge, doesn't fight liberals to the hilt, thinks Obama's ideas are just as valid as consevatives ideas, shys away from the truth, worried about getting reelected instead of doing the right thing, etc...

Is that clear enough for you? Please understand this, we are in a war, not for political purposes, but to bring back our mannered, respectful, standard culture. America is dying because the liberals and moderate/rino's are removing the "CREATOR" out of the idea!

Removing Reid and replacing him with any ole republican is foolishiness, and shows some republicans still have a typical ignorance of what is important. Get with the program! NO MORE RINO'S!

Self-destructive nonsense. That’s exactly the bravado that gave us BHO. You’re responsible for, among other things, the lives of the aborted babies under his administration.

You are, of course, correct,.

It’s RINO’s like him who think that the Republican party should compromise that got us in the trouble we are in.

Buck is revealing his liberal bent by the day.

A wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Wanting to defeat Reid makes me a liberal? How’s the weather in the microcosm, cultmom? Are you totally incapable of separating politics from religion? That contributes to your status as a cultist and a phony Christian.

To sirchtruth: although we have disagreed on this thread, I would like to apologize for “metmom” who has stalked me from another thread and has now sullied this one.

Your laying the blame for abortions in this country at the feet of sirchtruth simply because he refuses to compromise his conservative values and think like you is reprehensible.

Don’t bother apologizing for me. You don’t speak for me and I am more than capable of doing it for myself if the need arises.

I didn’t sully the thread, I arrived after you did it.

You stalked me, and that’s against the rules of this board. Yes, you sullied it by stalking. But I won’t report you, because you continue to entertain me.

Regarding the issue relevant to this thread, cultmom, holding out for ideological conservative perfection can fail. It gave us BHO. Those who contributed to that are responsible for, among other things, the incremental number of dead babies that the BHO administration will cause.

However, I would not expect a phony Christian moonie like you to understand that.

Now post a response that will entertain me! I demand it of you!

Why are you advocating separating politics from religion? Do you want a religion free political system?

You stalked me, and that’s against the rules of this board.

This is a public forum, which is open to people posting on any thread they choose, unless specifically prohibited by the mods, like some people who have been banned from the religion forum.

I posted nothing that wasn't relevant to the thread, thus your accusation of stalking has no merit.

Cultmom, cultmom, cultmom...you and your ilk deny the Christianity of those who don’t fit your (pl) political ideals.

That wasn’t sufficiently entertaining. Bad cultmom!

Why should politics be separate from religion?

Conservative values = Christian values. Christian values define the conservative position.

They are pro-life and pro-marriage.

They are the same ones that the Founding Fathers believed in which were likewise based on Biblical principles, that gave us our inalienable rights and limited government. They are pro-freedom and anti-big government.

“Why should politics be separate from religion?”

I’m with you! It’s working fine in Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Taking religion out of politics sure worked well for the Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, China, NK, ,.....

Are you sure you want to go there?

I didn’t say that I did. But that post was more entertaining than your last.

Can a Christian support amnesty for illegal aliens?

Someone who calls themselves Christian CAN support anything.

Nothing is stopping them from doing that. Whether they ought to or not is another matter.

I do not know how to respond to a statement this unmitigatedly stupid! Since I don't want the party to adapt essentially the democrat agenda by voting rino's into office I'm responsible for today's abortions??????

Bravado, LOL!

Yep. Just support the GOP candidate, and don’t hurl personal attacks against the GOP during the primaries.

Anything else would be unmitigatedly stupid, right?

“Someone who calls themselves Christian CAN support anything.”

Don’t rephrase the question. I asked whether a Christian can support amnesty, not whether someine who calls themselves a Christian can.

One of three things are happening here, maybe all three, I don't know.

Either you're missing my point, there is a huge miscommunication somewhere, or you're devoid of scrupulous ions in the upper atmosphere.

What a tough question.

Asking whether someone who’s a Christian can support rewarding the illegals who have broken the law, thereby encouraging more lawbreaking.
