National attention from the heckling episode has money pouring into Wilson's campaign treasury and that of his 2010 Democratic challenger. Wilson had raised more than $700,000 since the incident as of Friday, according to the National Republican Congressional Committee. His opponent, Rob Miller, had received more than $1 million from 25,000 donors nationwide, said his campaign manager, Lindsay Zoeller.

This is a lie. The WaPo, also being dishonest, tried to play this game. Miller is now at a little over $1 million but that includes money left over from the unsuccessful 2008 campaign against Wilson and money raised since after the election. This is again a spin by the Dems, via a compliant media, to give the impression that Miller got a bigger windfall since a few days ago. It is simply not true and all you need to know is how this source, WaPo, NYT, etc. is not crowing about Miller "crushing" Wilson in fund raising since the incident because they can't. They can claim 25,000 donors nationwide (nice even number for the politically clueless out there) but notice how they don't mention what has been raised in the last 48 hours or tell you what percentage is from out of state.

It kind of reminds of a rinky dink restaurant claiming they are world famous because some couple from Australia ate there once.

The number I heard was $60,000 for Miller in the same time period and Wilson was @$750k in 48 hrs. $60k is a rounding error for Wilson.

Exactly! And the MSM wonders why no one trusts them any longer! I'm sick of the lies, the spin and MSM ignoring things they don't agree with.
