Basically, what Dean is saying is that he doesn’t like anyone that disagrees with him.
United Way is a dictatorship. I’ve worked with companies that took donations for United Way. United Way came back to the company and told them to do better, especially with management. The company sent all forms back to their managers and told them to re-evaluate their donations. We knew exactly what they meant.
It's odd how sooooo many organizations are "liberal" AND also "thuggy"....
Years ago, I worked for a large retailer at little better than minimum wage. I took the job for many reasons; salary wasn't one of them. At UW time, I didn't donate because I absolutely despise them. Management made it clear to me that my life would become miserable if I did not donate. They wanted that 100% banner. I wrote them a check for $1. And it hurt to write it for that much.
