Bertha Lewis, ACORN's chief organizer, appeared on Fox News Sunday yesterday, and even though Joe Wilson was nowhere to be found in the studio, you could hear his unspoken words as she misrepresented the fates of several of her employees.
Lewis's performance during the interview with U.S. Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) and host Chris Wallace was the finest in liberal arrogance and dishonesty. Throughout, she didn't bother to acknowledge Issa with eye contact and she often evaded their questions so she could continue to assert ACORN does so much good for poor, working class minorities.

Bertha has more spine then the president at least she was on Fox. The problem of course is the entire organization is corrupt.
Fired... dang... why aren’t they in jail. WHERE IS THE FBI, WHERE ARE THE COPS? I WANT TO KNOW, ERIC HOLDER?
I saw that interview. It was unbelievable how she would not give eye contact and treated him like he was an annoying insect. She NEVER answered the question about being willing to have their books open. What a liar that woman is. Wow, that was actually a great thing for our side. She’s SO corrupt that there’s no chance they can escape the inevitable.
Yes. They hire them, and pay them BELOW minimum wage (they got an exemption to do so from California), and they won't let them form an employees UNION.
Fired = vanish. So no one can dig any deeper.

Any announcement today on the independent auditor, as promised?
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,552841,00.html
WALLACE: Let me let me interrupt let me interrupt you, if I may, because you said this last week that you would name an independent auditor by Friday to review ACORN. I looked at your Web site 20 minutes ago. There’s still not a word.
LEWIS: You will have that announcement on Monday, making sure that when we hit the ground running that everything is in place, because it is important that we continue...
WALLACE: Is it going to be somebody...
LEWIS: ... to do that.
WALLACE: ... independent like Pricewaterhouse? Is it I mean, you’re naming the auditors...
LEWIS: Well, it’s not going to be...
WALLACE: ... so some people are going to...
LEWIS: ... Pricewaterhouse.
WALLACE: ... wonder whether or not...
LEWIS: You’ll find out who that person is, and you’ll also note that we brought in things last year, new auditors, new financial professionals, to make sure that they gave us sound advice, which I’ve been implementing, as well as making sure that what you just saw never, ever happens again.
So did Al Capone.
She was uncivil, repetitive and childish not to look at the Congressman. I don’t know what she could have hoped to prove from behavior like that.
And Bertha called them STUPID.
I just don’t see any resolution of this whole ACORN business any time soon. By rights the Justice Department should come down on ACORN with both feet, but not under this AG, and certainly not under this President. I think this will largely be swept under the rug, and will be completely eclipsed by the economy in October and November.
In any case, whatever money they touched is long gone.
