I’d say we were looking at two different formations here. The one for Pres. Bush was informal and personal feeling were allowed to be expressed. The formation for Obama was more formal, everyone was at attention when Obama entered and thus were not allowed to applaud (even if a few really wanted to).
I would like to see the Marine response if Obama went to Afghanistan to address them.Especially they ones who called for and were denied indirect fire and close air support.
