It’s important to live in the moment; getting all excited about who will be running for prez in 2012 is a waste of energy.
I’m be 79 next month, I need my energy for riding my motorcycle, jousting with libtards here in Oregon, cleaning my guns, filling gun magazines with fresh ammo, playing with our four cats and engaging in stimulating conversation with my wonderful wife.
I didn’t say anything about “going with Sarah Palin”, I just like her and gave you the reason. I voted for GWB and he turned out to be the biggest open border guy around.
I’m not any party member; I’m a registered Independent, both party’s are corrupt!
I like Sarah Palin because she drives the lunatic-left completely insane. They come unglued and lose it; I love her for that. No one else makes the libtards show their a$$es like Sarah does, no one, not even my favorite non politician; Rush Limbaugh! ;)
Most all Americans are immigrants, 3/4 of mine came from Wales, Scotland and Ireland, back in the early 1800’s, the other 1/4 in Cherokee Indian.
I agree keep the foreign invaders out; arguing about will not accomplish anything except in raising your blood pressure. ;)
Be Ever Vigilant!

You might want to rethink being the official linguistic grouch. Pardon my less than prompt reply.
(I have had a couple of financial crises, three or four subpoenas and a house fire, and so I have been drinking heavily).
Though I am honoured that you want to bestow office upon me, I must decline your generous accolade.
But since you have touched upon the subject of language, may I recommend to you the website dictionary.com. and the utility Wordweb.
Wordweb is handy because it is so quick. Just place the cursor on the word, hold 'control' and right click.
It's almost instant (and that's the free version).
Dictionary.com is more thorough, and since one must manually enter the word for definition or other references, which include (besides Dictionary) Thesaurus, Encyclopedia, Translator and Websearch, and then scan the results, it is not quite as quick as Wordweb.
These (Wordweb and Dictionary.com) have been a big help to me as far as maintaining some semblance of proper spelling, usage and syntax while posting or emailing (I am not any sort of scholar) and so, in this instance, I heartily recommend them to you.

Listen. I have no dog for our GOP 2012 candidate yet.
Mrs. Palin couldn't even handle the pressure of her own child's pregnancy without running and hiding for a week or more on end, during what was a critical time period of the last election. That situation (of which she was well aware of, well before anyone else and had every opportunity to be prepared for) is no pressure, like the pressure that a commanding CinC/POUTUS has to deal with daily. And she completely failed in her response to the situation. Running and hiding is not an answer.
Then, Mrs. Palin was made a fool of by even bigger fools in the MSM. Be it Couric or Gibson. She didn't have the leadership skills to set a premise or not be made a fool of by debating from a false premise. I've seen leadership plenty in my life / line of business. The lady does not have it. She may be right on plenty of issues and I find myself agreeing with her often. However, she is not a leader. And when pushed she has folded under limited pressure a number of times.

Both of your examples are weak, and I sincerely doubt they are the real reasons for your distaste of Palin.
Furthermore, you've added a lot of your own negative spin to both events.
Palin, in her public appearences, has handled herself much better on the whole, then anyone else on the public stage, and she is in her own league when it comes to potential Presidential candidates for 2012.
And one ambush interview with a faux journalist that edited the interview to put Palin in the most negative light is hardly evidence of her lack of credability or readiness for the POTUS position. Like I said before, you are putting your own extremely negative spin on this which leads me to believe you are not being totally honest.
The left hates no one more than they hate Palin.
They see her as a threat because she connects with a broad spectrum of voters.
Furthermore, the fighting spirit she has demonstrated by fighting back hard against anyone who falsely attacks her, her family, or her values, is another character attribute that puts her head and shoulders above every other possible POTUS 2012 candidate.
Her libertarian-Republican position on the issues, which she communicates in a manner that is both intelligent, SINCERE, and understandable to the broad spectrum of voters is another reason she stands abover every other possible 2012 candidate.
Her successful tenure as Governor accomplishing Oil piple line contract success, cutting the size of government, fighting for the refusal of TARP monies that were unfunded and would have left the State of Alaska holding the bag fiscally while also taking way some of their liberties, etc. show a leader who is ready to take the POTUS seat.
Your evidence is thin and really irrelevant, and as I have stated already twice, leads any intelligent person to say, "What's the real reason you dislike her so much?" because your reasons don't rise to the level of being taken seriously.

Sarahs pretty, good personality and conservative in most ways, except the most important one to me and thats stopping the invasion .I don't care if the person looks like Frankenstein and had the personality of Dan Quayle if they are for a sovereign nation and conservative where it matters they get my vote.
You, like several people here on FR, have taken one interview (and that is all there is on this subject) given when Sarah was not representing herself, but John McCain, and have assumed this was her and has been and still is her own personal opinion on this subject (Illegal Immigration).
Have a little patience, with OZero pushing Amnesty, I am sure you are going to find out what she really feels about this issue.
Then you, me, and everyother freeper can re-align our opinions about her.

No, your reasons for suggesting she is ready to be POTUS/CinC are what are extremely weak. And no, it is not my spin on it. There was no "ambush" interveiw either by the fools Couric or Gibson. She gave permisson to both, to sit down with interviews with both of them. To suggest she didn't know what was coming is laughable.
Furthermore, Mrs. Palin just quit, when things got tough (or less profitable) to stay at her job she was elected to and made an oath to, to the people of AK. She quit because it was better for her personally at this time. That speaks volumes to me as well....about her and her lack of true leadership.
As I said, I agree with her on plenty (as I do Newt) yet neither have the true leadership qualities to be POTUS/CinC. Or at least I believe there are better qualified people that should step up and fill this role.
And yes, the MSM hate her because they see her as a symbol of Conservatives (rightly or wrongly). The MSM is pathetic and the GOP is just as pathetic for not putting out an aggressive, systematic, 27/7 counter to them.

Garbage!
Point out one other example of any politician that has had to put up with the number of garbage lawsuits she has, or the amount\volume of vitriol and negativity that she has had to put up with.
She had pointed out with her resignation speech and in other forums that her staff was using up to 80% of their time handling all the FOIA requests and dealing with the lawsuits so they were not able to get the work they were responsible to the State of Alaska done.
Furthermore, she correctly stated that they had already accomplished most, if not all, of what she had wanted to accomplish.
She stated this all very cleary in her resignation speech.
You opinion is lacking in substance and historical fact and as I have already pointed out, there is another reason you do not like her.

Really?
It is a fact that Coric edited the interview. It was proven right here on FreeRepublic. Furthermore, your suggestion that it is laughable for her to expect a fair shake is cynical. I do believe she has learned her lesson now.
However, one bad interview, and the Gibson interview was not bad, is not a measure of qualification for any position.
Like I have said before, your reasons for disliking Sarah and stating she is unqualified are thin at best.
Given the extreme lack of depth for your reasons for stating she is unqualified to be POTUS, I doubt your sincerety.
