U.S. WILL BECOME A MILITARY DICTATORSHIP UNDER OBAMA
Barack Obama is failing as President and the America is transforming into a military dictatorship, says Gore Vidal, the American novelist, essayist, and intellectual.
In an exclusive interview with The London Times, Mr. Vidal, 83, says that he now regrets switching his allegiance from Hillary Clinton to Mr Obama during last year’s campaign for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination.
“I was hopeful,” Mr. Vidal says of Mr Obama. “He was the most intelligent person we’ve had in that position for a long time. But he’s inexperienced. He has a total inability to understand military matters. He’s acting as if Afghanistan is the magic talisman: solve that and you solve terrorism.”
The celebrated author, known for his left-wing politics, also says thatAmerica should leave Afghanistan, Vidal said. “We’ve failed in every other aspect of our effort of conquering the Middle East or whatever you want to call it.”
Mr. Vidal, a friend and advisor of President John F. Kennedy, says that he became an Obama backer because he, too, “grew up in a black city” (Washington). He also says impressed by Obama’s intelligence.
On Mr Obama’s plan to reform healthcare, he says: “He f***** it up. I don’t know how, because the country wanted it. We’ll never see it happen.”

This shows Vidal's limitation: he cannot see the very obvious and imminent issue: his messiah himself might become a dictator.
