Japanese prosecutors are investigating political donations made to new Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama - including some which appeared to come from dead people.
Mr Hatoyama, who won a historic election victory in August, admitted in June that some donations to his fundraising body had been misidentifed and blamed an aide for the mistake.
He told reporters he is co-operating with the inquiry and hopes that everything will soon be clear.

ACORN is in Japan?
Japanese Democrats are just like their American cousins - who knew?
This Hotoyama guy is a member of the Democratic Party of Japan, so its no wonder he was able to get donations from dead people.
Acorn hits Japan!
LOL!
Vote early, vote often, and vote from the grave. (Well, in this case, donate instead of vote.)
But again, did some Japanese people put his campaign in their wills?
LOL, don’t let the NJ Dem Party hear about this one!
Don’t most of their culture pray to dead ancestor? Maybe some of them got thru....Dear Great Uncle Fuji, send money.
Japanese Democrats are just like their American cousins EXCEPT the Jap Rats will occasionally fall on their sword...the Cowardly American Rats just blame the opposition.
They probably followed the Franken fiasco, and hired ACORN for advice ;-)
OMG too funny is there is Japanese Version of Glenn Beck in Japan LOL!
What’s weird is that the previous LDP regime was supposed to be conservative and rightwing, but they were acting like socialists and intervened in every private issue everywhere in the country as well as spent huge loads of public money for totally useless construction projects so that the workers would vote for them (and they did). The end result was extreme bureaucracy and a mountain of budget deficit.
Now, we have our PM, who is accused of being too socialist, but he is cutting the budget very fast and saving a massive amount of tax money. They managed to save 3 trillion yen in just three weeks.
Then, I suppose you know who are really socialists.
No, I am not accusing your president.
