And now, we see, there are groups attempting to commit voter fraud through absentee ballots:
A state Supreme Court justice invalidated 39 absentee ballots in question for the Working Families Party primary in Troy after a court hearing last month.
County Legislature Majority Leader Robert Mirch of Troy, working with private investigators, obtained affidavits from voters who said they did not cast the absentee ballots and that the ballots were fraudulent.
Trey Smith, a former assistant district attorney, has been named as a special prosecutor to investigate the allegations.
City Democrats and Republicans have fought over the Working Families Party line in various elections. Mirch, an enrolled Conservative Party member aligned with the GOP in the legislature, has long led Republican efforts in the city to secure the Working Families Party line by registering voters in the party. The Republicans have usually been able to keep the line from the Democratic candidates.
In the November election, eight of the nine Democratic City Council candidates will appear on the Working Families Party line.
Note those are absentee ballots that were cast and subsequently invalidated.

We are still waiting for a special prosecutor in ERIE County - our new District Attorney doesn’t have time or manpower to investigate election law violations...
Absentee ballots need to be received, then a followup letter sent to the address to ask, did you send in this vote.... please use this ink pad to put your finger print on the return card.
I am sick and tired of the Democrat/Socialist/Communist and their vote stealing schemes. Do I think the man who refuses to prove that he is even eligible to be president via the constitution and natural born citizenship was actually elected? I have serious doubts after all we have found out about ACORN (AWorms) and Obama's close connections to them.
FReep mail me if you want on/off the list.
Congratulations, you just eliminated any opportunity for the deployed military to vote. When I was deployed with the Navy (20 yrs ago) about half of the absentee ballots I requested arrived on my ship too late for me to return them.
You act like you thing Absentee Military votes are actually counted, as I recall inFlorida they were excluded. In most states the absentee ballots are never counted unless they calculate that the count would change the outcome.
Our only hope in 2010 is to go to the registrar’s offices across the country and challenge all suspect voter registrations. Make the secretaries of state prove that the voters exist.
“our new District Attorney doesnt have time or manpower to investigate election law violations...”
And I’m sure there would be no unpaid volunteers ;-)
I would make a big exception for military. They are easy enough to prove legitimate. If I had my way, I would give all active duty double the vote.
