The truth is that the majority of people will see a change for the worse in the health insurance that they have now, and that scares people. If Obama thinks that the middle class is going to stand by and accept these changes, they are crazy. And that includes the majority of union workers that he had in his corner the last election.

Health insurance could be better, but people struggling in these economic times are going to see that, yes some people that do not have insurance right now, need help. But if it comes at the expense of what the individual worker has enjoyed over the years, there will be hell to pay. We may be a "giving" nation, but only when someone else does the giving.

That's what amendments and reconciliation is for - building the loop-holes for unions and weak, at risk Rats.
