I do not anticipate a military takeover by the administration. It does seem to be normal for leftists to try to mold the military to be loyal to themselves. Leftists/liberals always suconsciously or consciously fear a militray coup because they know that they are proposing and enacting unconstitutional and non traditional things.I believe even Carter, who came from the military shared that unease and that informed his drastic cutback of the military.

A leftist will ne reluctant to use even a purged military to deal with his enemies (leftists have no "opposition" only enemies). They would rather use a militia built by them from the ground up. Husein is the most serious about this of all the Social Democrats we have had. Remember his call for a very well financed civilian defense force? $-8 bil for ACORN is a start on this. It will buy a lot of brown or purple shirts and the "defunding" that just occurred was temporary and will be reinstated either to ACORN or to whatever other name that organization will use.

I’ve been concerned that if push comes to shove, enlisted personnel might be with us, officers with their government. (Not my government.) But if some of the good officers are being fired or transferred (and effectively demoted), the us/they line may be quite a bit higher than I’ve feared. An ill wind blowing a whisper of good?

Is this connected? Tentative Inspection Program Would Allow Russia to Visit U.S. Nuclear Sites Maybe he's trying to earn that peace prize.

I thought the same thing - Hillary agreeing to open all our nuclear sites up (domestic and foreign) for Russian inspection. We have no assurances we will be afforded the same inspection privledges with Russia, not that I trust them any further than I can throw them.

Obama just opened our war technology to China, too. They won’t have to spy anymore.

"Seems like a dumb question in the wake of the 2008 election; but is there any independent reporting of these events, names of USAF Officers, congressional oversight, etc."

Not dumb at all. Stories without verifiable sources (names, dates, publications) should NEVER be taken seriously. No matter how much the story might re-enforce what we want to think.

While I am sure some of this is Obama trying to put loyalists into power, let us not lose sight of the fact that there were several major snafus with regard to our nuclear arsenal that took place later in the Bush Administration.

Some of these changes may be a result of the investigation that took place into those incidents.

As much as I’d like to pass this story along, and as plausible as it may seem under Obama, I won’t until I have additional sources.

If this is true, someone should be reporting it ~ possibly Bill Gertz?

I used to think the idea of a revolution or military action within the borders of this country was absurd and laughable.

I’m not so sure anymore.

After the inspections by the commies our entire nuclear capability will be compromised. These replacements are under orders to let the Russians see whatever they want.

How foolish the American voter has been...

There was a nuclear bomb problem last year. Is this related to that problem, and are they just finally getting around to removing the generals? Or is this something different.

I call BS. There is no "Missile Command."

And, only a liberal bed wetter would use the term "Airwomen."

Besides, what generals have been fired? I read a story about the Wing Commander, Col Ayers, getting the boot.
