As Obama vacillates scared to make any commitment.
If the US exerted pressure on the Taliban from the Afghanistan side, it would be a lot tougher for the Tallies.
Kerry (a war hero) and Rahm (a punk) claimed on cnn that Bush had 8 years to get this right and that they were starting from scratch.
This is not Iraq, they claimed.
Iraq was easy, this is hard. We will run from here like we did in Viet Nam.

His Taliban was not any harm.
sKerry a war hero? Three purple hearts in four months, and nary a visit to a hospital? If you extrapolated that forward, throughout the course of the Vietnam War, sKerry would have been the most decorated soldier since Audie Murphy.
I say sKerry was a total fraud that brought his typewriter with him to Vietnam to fill out the after action reports. That is why he refused to release his military records. sKerry didn’t want Americans to know that he was the author of the reports lauding his supposed heroism.
Pakistani troops and the Taliban fought fierce battles Sunday in a militant sanctuary near the Afghan borderAs luck would have it, the local PBS station uses one of its spankin'-new four count-em four digital broadcast channels to echo Aljazeera on Saturdays, and the all-English-speaking staff had some kind of talking head who reminded viewers that Pakistan can continue to play both sides -- trying to keep the terrorists contained in Pakistan, while actively encouraging them to operate in Afghanistan.
