I've seen some incredibly stupid and misguided initiatives by "conservatives" in my day, but this one takes the cake.
Because the Bible has been rewritten to conform with the agenda of "liberals," a self-described "conservative" is spearheading an effort to rewrite it to his liking.

This guy doesn’t have to rewrite the Bible to be conservative, the vast majority of translations already are. Who gives a fig about these liberal translations.
My use of a “conservative” is to be understood in opposition to “liberal” translations which teach same sex marriage, Christ was a socialist revolutionary, etc.
I’m right with you. That is my exact same stance.

I hear you but it is really looking close.
Pre-Christian Jews wrote of “the end of days.” New Testament writers wrote of “the last days.” Post-Apostolic writers (2nd through the 4th century AD) wrote of the last days. The Bible gives us all kinds of signs to recognize the last days.
Because some have been premature in their interpretation of those signs, does not negate the validity of them.

Yes but my point is that we are not going to have our cause blessed by God when some of us are messing with the scriptures. We already knew the liberals are all going to hell. lol

People have believed that we’re really close for the last 2000 years. Every few years for the last twenty centuries there has been a wave of hystericals folks convinced that the end is nigh. If you think the Obama Presidency is bad, start reading about the Black Death in 1348, which everyone knew was a tribulation from the impending Apocalypse. The same folks predicting doom now predicted it in the 90s, 80s, 70s, etc. One bad President does not an Armageddon make.

Unless one is perfect, the Bible will pinch uncomfortably somewhere or other. The Bible is not the one which is deformed though . . .
