"I think the President will take some time after these meetings to think through what he's heard, what we've all learned, and evaluate this process, both what's best for our country, what's best for Afghanistan, Pakistan, and for the region as a whole," Gibbs said. Gibbs admits that he does not know when the President will make his final decision, but it is expected the announcement will come sometime in the next few weeks.
A few weeks. What's a few weeks to soldiers in the field?

Screw Obama. I don’t believe for a heartbeat that he gives a d*mn about the troops, he probably hates them and all the military (it doesn’t help that he doesn’t have what it takes to be them). Anything he’s doing, there are political polls behind it. My brother is in Iraq again, no leave this time (fortunately only a couple-3 months left—I’m praying hard) and I can hear in his voice the total lack of morale, which wouldn’t be confined to him-he’s one of the least whiniest people in the world. If it’s that bad there, my heart bleeds for the troops in Afghanistan.

REMORSE is the exact right word. However, I don’t think it’s what the WH is expressing.

“White House Expresses Remorse over troops killed in Afghanistan”
Never let a good crisis go to waste. Obama and his ilk could care less about the “troops” (aka fathers, brothers, sons, sisters, daughters.) They only care about their power. By the time Obama is ready to make a move, the war will be lost. Why else would he delay saving lives. What a p***y we have for a president. Small p on purpose.

As much as he likes to ignore the commanders on the ground, I bet Obama learned it from the media like the rest of us.

remorse??? How about supporting them to the hilt? Or does he view them as George Bush’s troops and not his?

The reason last month was the bloodiest in Iraq since the beginning of the war is that the enemy has taken measure of the man in the White House, and deemed him unworthy of respect.
Lack of respect is also the reason we were attacked on 9-11. The restoration of respect by Bush's deposing of the Taliban and subsequent capture and hanging of Saddam Hussein is why we have been safe from attack....until now.

Oops, I meant Afghanistan, not Iraq.

I regret the loss of life, but I see no reason for me to rush into a decision on more troops. I will continue to dither no matter how many die, since I know in my heart I will have a real breakthrough right around the time of the elections.
