WASHINGTON — The House ethics committee announced Thursday that it would begin full investigations into two House members, Maxine Waters and Laura Richardson, but a security breach threatened to make public the names of many other members facing possible ethics charges.

The separate investigations into private financial matters of Ms. Waters and Ms. Richardson suggest a stepped up effort by the ethics committee at a time when it has faced criticisms for the slow pace of its work.

The security breach related to a document that contained the names of two dozen members of Congress whose conduct has come into question, along with the status of those investigations, according to House officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Meanwhile, Mr. Rangel, the tax cheat and liar, is still a committee chairman and still a member of Congress.

The “many others” must be Democrats, because if they were Republicans, they would be named and we’d already have above-the-fold exposes from interviews with their crazy relatives.

They’re both Dembulbs:

Obomas administration is full of tax cheats and communists, but they're still there. The Kings in Washington have no plans to obey the law. They think they're above the law.

If they toss Maxine Waters out, it would finally FREE Los Angeles. As she perpetually lines her pockets, flies here and yon on tax dollars, hating everyone who does not agree with her, she has let her district fall lower and lower into the sewer. She has been in Congress way too long and has forgotten the ghetto she arose from. She needs to go back to be reminded you don’t funnel tax dollars to a bank your husband hss ties to. It ain’t good in the hood to do that.

Committee officials, embarrassed by the breach, appeared to be bracing Thursday evening for the public disclosure of its internal business.

Sounds exciting to me. I'd like to hear more about it.

There is NO way these RATS are going to do anything to any of them. This story is bogus. Charlie Rangel is untouched. The list of RAT crooks is a mile long, yet nothing ever happens to them.

Waters made an ass of herself (yet again) with her rant and rave during a hearing (there was an incendiary snippet on NPR, which I had to endure while shopping the other evening). Thanks rdl6989.

"They think they're above the law. "

All indications are that they are correct in thinking that.
