Dozens In Congress Under Ethics Inquiry
The Washington Post ^ | October 30, 2009 | Ellen Nakashima and Paul Kane

House ethics investigators have been scrutinizing the activities of more than 30 lawmakers and several aides in inquiries about issues including defense lobbying and corporate influence peddling, according to a confidential House ethics committee report prepared in July.

The report appears to have been inadvertently placed on a publicly accessible computer network, and it was provided to The Washington Post by a source not connected to the congressional investigations. The committee said Thursday night that the document was released by a low-level staffer.

The ethics committee is one of the most secretive panels in Congress, and its members and staff members sign oaths not to disclose any activities related to its past or present investigations. Watchdog groups have accused the committee of not actively pursuing inquiries; the newly disclosed document indicates the panel is conducting far more investigations than it had revealed.

Why? They are in charge. Is this to force people to vote how they want them to vote? Maxine Waters is another one.

The executive, legislative and judicial branch is totally corrupt.

Judge David O. carter yesterday sold out his honor, his manhood and his country. He used to be a Marine once.

Pelosi: We’re going to have the MOST ETHICAL CONGRESS IN HISTORY!

Reality: We have the MOST UN-ETHICAL CONGRESS IN HISTORY!

Rangel said he has not discussed other parts of the investigation of his finances with the committee. "I'm waiting for that, anxiously," he said.

You're not the only one.

Harman is being investigated most likely per Pelosi, who hates her.

One Pubby: The panel said Thursday, however, that it is ending a probe of Rep. Sam Graves (R-Mo.) after finding no ethical violations, and that it is investigating the financial connections of two California Democrats.

That would be the skanky Sanchez sisters.

It’s no culture of corruption. That myth was used to unseat the GOP from power in 2006.

Nancy Pelosi said she’d bring us the most ethical congress in history. She wouldn’t lie just to attain political power. And the media was behind that “culture of corruption” hype in 2006, they even had the Mark Foley memos before the GOP and sat on them until they could use them for an October Surprise.

But this isn’t evidence of a culture of corruption within the MSM or DNC. Nope. They’d tell us if it was.

Too funny. Night before last I was buttoning down the place for the night, and noticed the cats chasing about at the windows and sliding doors in the Atrium room. Went out to see what the excitement was.

Biggest Raccoon I’ve ever seen was out there peering through the glass doors at the cat’s kibble dish.

The Raccoon’s love cat kibble.

He/she/it (never know nowadays) ran off when it saw me.

I’m sure if it were mostly Republicans, the Washington Post would be trumpeting that from the treetops.

Gee, I read the first 3 paragraphs and still no mention of party.....

That tells you all you need to know about party affiliations. Any Republican would be in the first paragraph.
