Do not go to the website they tell you to to voice your opinions. It only allows you to sign a petition for Obamacare.

Call their toll free number and say “representative”. You will have to wait because their lines are jammed. I waited over 45 minutes but I was able to talk to a live person. He wasn’t too happy to hear from me. I think one or two other people may have called with their “reservations”.

I will not support any organization willing that will give cover to the Marxist in the White House!

I’m so f***ing furious at the AARP and the AMA. They are a bunch of special interest crooks that advocate for left-wing policies, big government, and higher taxes. Neither one of these organizations actually stand for the interests of the people they claim to represent. My father is a physician and HATES the AMA. He quit over 20 years ago when they started supporting abortion, and he says he doesn’t know of one doctor personally that is a) a member of the AMA, or b) supports ObamaCare. They represent a tiny minority of doctors.

The AARP doesn’t give a damn about seniors either. They want a massive government that turns seniors into wards of the state, financed by higher taxes for the rest of us. Un-f***ing-believable.

IF YOU HATE WHAT IS GOING ON, CONTACT THE AARP AND THE AMA AND GIVE THEM A PIECE OF YOUR MIND. IF YOU ARE A MEMBER OF THE AARP, DROP YOUR MEMBERSHIP NOW!!!!

Yeah, I saw that. They ask you to “voice your opinion” and that takes you to a petition to support ObamaCare. These people are SHAMELESS HACKS. It might as well be an arm of Obama for America. I’m so f***ing furious right now.

AARP is endorsing this because they get 60% of their revenues from medigap insurance. This bill kills all Medicare Advantage programs and they will be able to cash in on seniors who will have to buy some kind of medigap insurance.

SCREW THEM!!!

Call the Spanish line... I got right in. When they answer in Spanish, just press “O”... they understand English and didn’t like my use of language.

I’m not endorsing the ASA (American Seniors Assoc.) although I did join them a couple of months ago, it might be worth your while if you are thinking of dumping AARP (which I did 5 years ago) to check them out and then you can decide for yourself.

http://www.americanseniors.org/Pages/home.aspx?Images=/images/index_new.gif

As an incentive, rather than just tear up your AARP Card, if you send it to ASA and join, you will get second year membership free.

Either way, I would encourage everyone NOT to join this far left, rip off group (AARP) and if you have family, relatives or friends who are, try and convince them to drop their membership.

The AARP staff should be arrested and charged with Grand Larceny and ELDER ABUSE and be investigated by Adult Protective Services and each state's Dept of Aging!!! They are betraying the trust of a vast number of Seniors in violation of RICO and hundreds of laws passed under LBJ's Great Society legislative onslaught!!!

This is the biggest deception of Seniors in the history of advocacy/lobbying organizations hiding behind Non-Profit 501(c)3 tax exemption laws.

The commissions, then the salaries and expense accounts being raked in by this criminal self-serving staff from those Medicare Supplement sales are far more obscene than salaries and bonuses paid to Wall Street bankers!!!

Remember when Reagan was president and they passed a comprehensive Medicare Reform act and AARP lied to seniors so strongly and swiftly that CONgress immediately reversed their huge act that would have made the whole program sustainable far into the future???

AARP is guilty of Elder Abuse by endorsing a law that eliminates Medicare Advantage plans!!!

...but, but...the AARP insists it doesn’t endorse legislation!....even though they did just that for Obamacare today.

This outfit is dangerous!

Immigration...healthcare...ALL the same enforcers....

SEIU & AARP....FYI

“AARP does not operate a PAC, but its employees gave candidates, committees and parties $53,200, with Democrats receiving 90 percent of that.”

SEIU & AARP...joined at the hip and helping write amnesty/healthcare legislation. AARP uses your dollars to fund the likes of:

MALDEF - Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund

AARP says: “”Anybody who looks at immigration has to look at aging,” says Harry R. Moody, director of academic affairs at AARP. “First, immigration affects the age structure of society” by adding younger members to the population, he says. “Second, the people who do hands-on care work are immigrants. Look at our nursing homes! We have an image of people picking tomatoes — that’s not the whole story. Immigrants are the front-line caregivers.”

Meet AARP’s New CEO: A. Barry Rand

A. Barry Rand, chairman of the Board of Trustees at Howard University and a nationally recognized agent for social change, has been tapped as AARP’s new chief executive officer. He will become the organization’s first African American CEO when he assumes the position in April.

AARP Welcomes Jacob Lozada

AARP Board member Jacob Lozada gives AARP Segunda Juventud readers his perspective on issues facing U.S. Hispanics and how he hopes to boost AARP’s profile in his native Puerto Rico.

AND AARP works hand in hand with the SEIU. They are the ones formulating the legislation that the dems are pushing.

“– AARP, Business Roundtable and SEIU, which together represent more than 50 million Americans, today took another groundbreaking step for their “Divided We Fail” group by jointly delivering endorsed principles for health information technology (IT) legislation to Congress.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AARP

Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus founded AARP in 1958. AARP evolved from the National Retired Teachers Association (NRTA), which Andrus had established in 1947 to promote her philosophy of productive aging, and in response to the need of retired teachers for health insurance. After ten years, Andrus opened the organization to all Americans over 50, creating AARP. Today, NRTA is a division within AARP. According to Andy Rooney, AARP was established by insurance salesman Leonard Davis in 1958, after he met Ethel Percy Andrus.

I would bet that most AGING retirees from all walks of life did not realize when they signed up for AARP that they were joining a TEACHERS UNION!!!!

Back about seventeen years ago when I became old enough to join, AARP gave three million dollars to some anti-gun program. The next time I got a preapproved temporary membership card I called them and explained I ran a gun business and would not be joining. Now every time I get a request from them I put all the material along with two of the Three dollar bills with Bill Clinton on them and return all in there prepaid envelope.

AARP: Reform advocate and insurance salesman

Seniors group makes millions from royalties on health plans

The nation's preeminent seniors group, AARP, has put the weight of its 40 million members behind health-care reform, saying many of the proposals will lower costs and increase the quality of care for older Americans.

But not advertised in this lobbying campaign have been the group's substantial earnings from insurance royalties and the potential benefits that could come its way from many of the reform proposals.

The group and its subsidiaries collected more than $650 million in royalties and other fees last year from the sale of insurance policies, credit cards and other products that carry the AARP name, accounting for the majority of its $1.14 billion in revenue, according to federal tax records. It does not directly sell insurance policies but lends its name to plans in exchange for a tax-exempt cut of the premiums.....

AARP will never listen. They are wired into Obamacare to make millions more. Their conflict of interest screams to heaven! The best thing to do is get out of AARP and get benefits elsewhere.

After explaining why-—fed up with the Health Care endorsement, I cancelled my aunt’ AARP insurance. The representative tried to tell me that it was not their company, but I told her that her company was operating under the auspices of the AARP umbrella. She did say that there is a 30 day change of mind clause. I AM SO SICK OF AARP!!!!!!

If you are a member of USAA, you can get Medicare Advantage from them. My parents like their coverage from USAA.
