David Frum nails it today. A favorite target of conservatives (including myself at one point), Mr. Frum gets it right on his blog post about how our tip-toeing around the issue of racial pro-filing resulted in the Fort Hood disaster. Here are two excerpts.

A broken clock gets it right sometimes.
We need Muslim American leaders to stand up and exhort their people to root out the evildoers, and that until and unless they do, openly, that they willingly subject their entire religion to higher scrutiny and profiling because they understand that the lives of all Americans are more important than the feelings of a few of them.
I know that if Jews were occasionally shooting up rooms full of people or blowing up American buildings, I’d welcome higher profiling for my religion. I know that I would help to root out any extremist advocating violence whom I discovered.
It’s time for the good Muslims to put up, or shut up and be profiled.

Maybe he will quit working for the people who INVENTED THIS TYPE OF NONSENSE!!!
This is the guy who coined the term “axis of evil”, he certainly should ‘get it’ on this front.
We have a President who is so so so so clueless, even statements of the obvious - as in, ‘this is evil’ ‘evil intent kills people’ and ‘Jihadist extremism leads to violence’ - sound brilliant.
A whiner complaining about the problem he helped create?
