This thread is worse than crass. The death penalty seems appropriate for some crimes, but none of us should rejoice in the death of another human being. If life is sacred (and it is), and if all of us are children of God (and we are), and if all of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God (and we have), none of us should be happy about this death.
I do not mourn the death of such an one. I will not make a party of it...or revel in it. but I recognize justice and the need for it, particularly to protect the innocent. So, though I do not revel in it, I do not mourn this man’s just sentence. He will stand soon enough before his and our Maker to receive his eternal judgement, which God alone will mete out.
As long as he is breathing on this earth, justice is delayed.
When he reaches room temperature, we can all rejoice that justice has been served.
Would you rejoice if the Governor commutes his sentence at the last minute? Or would you be angry that justice was short circuited?
Speak for yourself. Go away if it offends you, but I am celebrating this dirtbag’s death.
God works in mysterious ways.
You do have a point. But I think the grief and sorrow is more properly directed at the way he lived his life.
No one is rejoicing. We're just counting down for now but after the execution, then we'll rejoice!
I wonder do they give him his last rights and ask if he wants to accept Christ as his savior?

I agree we need to be somber about the death of human beings for the reasons you outline.
The consequences of some people’s sin is just so much greater and more heinous, however. And we rejoice that this sick animal, really, as he had become, that his heinous acts have been stopped, permanently, and as a warning sign to all who care to observe it.
And the ruling of society is to end his life, as justice for the massive pain, suffering and heartache he caused not only for those he gunned down in cold blood, but for all their families, children, et al, and for all the people that lived in the path of Muhammed and his partner’s terror.
If people here are being a little over the top, and even crass about that joy, I forgive ‘em that.
i will raise a toast to the death of that SOB, accept it, evil is evil, we need to see more of this!
...want to bet he does an “allah akbar” before he goes?
“but none of us should rejoice in the death of another human being.”
But an animal like John Allen Muhammed?
Well said!!!
You’re wrong. I’m sooooooooo happy this scum is cleaned-up, bagged up, and thrown out...
Your theology is as bad as your placement of sentiment.
