To: worst-case scenario
Based on comments Forish made about Ruby Ridge, Idaho, and Waco, Texas, police conclude that he belongs to one or another extremist movements.

Isn't that jumping to conclusions? What about his 1st Amendment rights? He was just talking.

That was just a quote from the news item I cited.

He wasn’t prosecuted for his statements in 1998. He was prosecuted for his machine gun ownership. As was said in one of the other news articles:
“Abraham Forish, 36, was arrested on Thursday for possession of shell casings, a violation of his release on machine-gun related charges for which he was arrested for in 1999. He then fled, missed a court date, and was arrested in New Mexico in 2000.”

So I gather that he was arrested for machine guns, and the authorities noted he was upset about Ruby Ridge and Waco and talked as if he belonged to an extremist movement.

He could say whatever he wants. I brought it up to illustrate that the guy is probably not a Muslim.
