I cant begin to imagine how hard it would be to leave my family for months at a time, especially if my destination were Iraq or Afghanistan. And I dont know how I could deal with my wife being deployed overseas. These reunion videosfor me, at leastshed a tiny beam of light on how emotionally draining being a military family can be. Theyll also make you want a dog.
To commemorate Veterans Day, here are some overjoyed dogs greeting returning soldiers.
These videos brought tears to this dog-lover’s eyes.
Thank God for the Veterans who protect us!!!
Those were good pictures, just what I needed after seeing the Google Veterans Day logo making the soldier look like a giant penis. :(
“These videos brought tears to this dog-lovers eyes.”
Mine too!
My screen is blurry.

Thanks for posting.
I new I shouldn’t have gone there - I now have screen blur! Dang I hate it when that happens!

Thank You for the Link.
Thanks for posting the link. *sniff* Was a little emotional watching the soldier-dog reunions...and then seeing the soldiers surprising their kids...well, I completely lost it :-) Happy tears...*sniff*
THanks! wonderful videos.
These young men are the hope of our country. When they come home, they will hopefully be the guys who fix stuff for their generation. I have met many of them in airports, deploying and coming home on leave, and to a man, they are so admirable, gentlemanly and grown up and dear. They are getting the best training for men every devised.

Thanks for the videos. You really need to give *sniff* alerts.
oh my gosh...at the end of the videos I had to gather my thoughts as to where I was supposed to go as I got so involved in these homecomings I forgot I was on Free Republic. Thank you so much for all of those wonderful videos of love, joy, sadness, tears, smiles, barks and bow wows. God bless our military and their familes and their dedication to our country. They are so far above the politicians...the politicians would have to climb a ladder to reach the soles of these heroes. God bless and thank you again.
You’re welcome. I couldn’t watch them all on the first visit to the site. I needed a tissue break.
bump - and thanks!
That really made me smile. Thanks for posting that!

A much better welcome than they’ll ever get from Zero.
awwwwwww! OK, that settles it...I’ve got to figure out how to work the darn video camera in time for sweetie’s homecoming. I know the kids are going to trample him, but I had really forgotten that the dog is going to be bouncy too...I’ve got to remember to have him on a leash!
The cat on the other hand is going to be so mad to see the rightful owner of “her” side of the bed return. :P
