We still have civil disobedience and then finally the second amendment. Remember its “consent of the governed.”

Whether or not citizens go those routes remains to be seen.

so if you cannot afford it you go to debtors jail? Thought we got rid of those.

They're alive and well. Ever heard of child support?

>KOMO-TV: Do you think it’s fair to send people to jail who don’t buy health insurance? Pelosi: .. “the legislation is very fair in this respect.”

Q: Do you think it’s lawful to violently defend your freedom from a government obsessed with controlling your very life?

A: I think the Declaration of Independence provides all the legal Justification for overthrowing such tyranny here in the US.

Run for your state legislature. If you can’t find someone who will and is willing to say no to the federal government. This must be done.

Have you ever heard the word “nullification”?
Yes.

Are you aware of the history of the Fugitive slave act or the Alien and Sedition act? Are you familiar with the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions of 1798?
No.

We’ve got a number of options left to us. Will we use them or will we just shrug under the chains?

This is more to the point. The cage we are being put into is narrowing and since we can't seem to back out, then we will either have to break out or live there.

We really need to help her opponent with campaign contributions in 2010. $10 here, $20 there, and pretty soon her Repub opponent has some money to battle the Queen.

So, unconstitutionally passing a law that requires people to buy that which they do not want and have decided that they do not need is “fair”. Those who voted for this bill that do not have the decency to resign need to be thrown out next year.

FAIR!!!???? We’re going to clog up the already overcrowded jails (renamed health gulags) with people who will have done nothing “wrong” other than not opt into Marxist health care slavery? Isn’t that overkill?

Are they proposing to release all the Bar Abbases out into the streets?

Pelosi is so full of crap ... she is attempting to justify the jail term for NOT getting health insurance because those without health insurance push their costs on to others ...

Hey, Nancy, that is what illegal aliens have been doing for years, and you assholes in congress want to REWARD them, not just for sneaking into the country illegally, but for passing all their expenses (education, health care, etc.) on to taxpayers, while you send taxpayers to jail for not paying more taxes.

Sick of this government and everyone associated with it.

There is the Senate - then there is the Supreme Court. After that we are out of options.

Take to the hills? Hide those who oppose the regeime? Finally the second amendment is the ultimate option of last resort. Hopefully it will never come to that, but it's nice to know that no matter how bad that option is, that option alwasys exists.

Are they going to use those in the Health Gulags for experimentation like Nazi Germany? Are they going to work for the “New” auto industry?

Nancy is insane.

Massachusetts nullified the Fugitive Slave act by saying anyone coming into the state to enforce it would be arrested for kidnapping under Massachusetts law.

The Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions of 1798, along with others from other states and from Kentucky in 1799, were a response to the Alien and Sedition Acts. They wanted to secede then. They were persuaded to work through the process to repeal the laws. Jefferson pardon and paid restitution to those imprisoned under the acts when he was president.

We have options. People need to get involved, and fast, in their states. The states have to start providing a bulwark against the tyranny of this national government or we are going to see some very dark times.
