Runny nose, fever, cough, even pneumonia -- the symptoms sound like swine flu but children hospitalized at one U.S. hospital in fact had a rhinovirus, better known as a common cold virus, doctors said on Tuesday.
Hundreds of children treated at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia had a rhinovirus, and federal health investigators are trying to find out if it was a new strain, and if this is going on elsewhere in the country.

WE’RE DOOMED!
Ukrainian Fever ...
My 13 year old daughter is sick right now. It started with a sore throat. They did a flu test on her last week, and it came back negative. Since she didn’t have a fever, they gave her the H1N1 vaccine. The next day, her asthma started up.
Today, I took her to the asthma doctor. I think they would have preferred that the pediatrician waited on the H1N1 vaccine.
She sounds horrible. Having to do lots of breathing treatments for coughing. We have prednisone if the cough gets worse, and we have to watch for infection. She’s going to miss over a week of school.
I got a bad cold over the weekend. Was scared it was Swine Flu. Still not over it. Sore throat comes and goes. Drainage. coughing. Not much fever- if any. Never took my temperature..I rarely get colds.
I started taking more Vitamin D, Fish Oil, Coq10, Grapeseed Oil, Vitamin C, using a concoction I made of Thieves oil...and still not over the symptoms. Added NAC and got a headache so stopped that.
If those things don’t work agains the common cold ..not so sure they will help me if I get the Swine flu.
I had a cold (which I haven’t had in a while) this past summer and it hung on for an awfully long time...
My husband and daughter had a bad cold last week. High fever and coughs. My husband is still having problems with the coughing. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hope I don’t get sick. I’m pregnant with twins and that is the last thing I need right now.
If those things work then I think they work as an ameliorator, not as a cure.
