WASHINGTON — The government is to review an air defense system established after the September 11, 2001 attacks to determine whether the costly program is still necessary, the New York Times reported Friday.
The review is expected to include a complete reassessment of the threat of a terror attack by air and will consider the cumulative effects of various security measures taken since the 2001 attacks.
The review was ordered by Major General Pierre Forgues, the Canadian who currently heads the North American Aerospace Defense Command, commonly known as Norad.
"The fighter force is extremely expensive, so you always have to ask yourself the question 'How much is enough?'" Forgues told the Times.

oh hell why review it, seems they already determined it is too costly...just annouce to the world that they are ending it so the terrorists can plan the next attack by air....i just love how we tell the world what we are or are not going to do to open up ourselves for future attacks....

The main job of the president is to protect the American people. He is doing everything not to. He is lowering the protective shield and allowing our enemies access to the hunting fields. Do we sit by and wait for a mass execution of Americans? Or do we take steps now to remove him and others from office. Where are the patriot lawyers in this country? are they all scum? Step up to the plate for God sake, your country needs you!

I will go on a limb and say that the good people here on FR generally, on average, deserve a little better than what we are currently getting.
