From yesterdays San Francisco Chronicle Bay Area not maverick enough to read Palin book:
Our customers are thinking people, said Nathan Embretson, a bookseller at Pendragon Books in Oakland. Theyre not into reading drivel.
Got it, Nathan.
Heres a selection of some of the non-drively, thinky-type books Mr. Embretson carries at his store, per the Pendragon Books website:
Inside Job: Unmasking the 9-11 Conspiracies (Paperback)
By Jim Marrs
Inside Job is the definitive journalistic account of the hidden role of the Bush Whitehouse in perpetrating the 9/11 attacks......

Nathan is a lunatic clone.
Nathan Embretson
B.A. in Social Anthropology, Department of Anthropology, San Francisco State University
San Francisco, California, USA
Nathan Embretson has been active in environmental groups throughout California for many years. He has worked with local groups as they create localized economies, as well with international groups such as The International Forum on Globalization, which is a proggressive think tank dedicated to solutions for climate change. His current research examines the ways that late capitalist industrial societey percieves its own solid waste, and how that perception could be turned around in order create community, solidarity, and peace. Nathan will be working with the White Earth Recovery Project in Fall 2008 and Spring 2009.

Okay, my first reaction to that quote, without even researching their website, was, “Oh yes you
is!”
Now, having seen that list, my second reaction is “Man, they really are into reading drivel.”

My experience with the elite left is that they are generally ignorant and quite often just plain stupid. I think that’s why the feel it necessary to continually put others down.
I once told a leftist that perhaps the election of Obama proves that Voltaire was right about democracy. Not only did he not have a clue what I was talking about, he thought I was complementing Obama.

God forbid ‘thinking people’ should read something by someone they might not agree with.
And that goes for many here as well.

This stooge wouldn't know an intelligent tome if it hit him in the face. I'm sure his literary bailiwick extends to subjects of faggotry, socialism, flag desecration, and drug use.

Come on...Pendragon Books? No doubt they have first-edition D and D manuals, and hold Wiccan rituals in the stock room every Wednesday after closing time. In his free time, ol' Nathan is probably trying to build a working light saber...he's a Jedi Knight, you know.

I called the bookstore yesterday and Nathan wasn’t available for some odd reason.
The woman I talked to was a typical libtard, spewing the whole “diversity” line of BS and she ended up hanging up on me.
Feel free to give them a call:

if the judgment of the book is in, that would suggest the geniuses at the stores have read it, right?

Those comments are typical of many on the left who are willful victims of their own ignorance and intellectual laziness.

Nathan will be working with the White Earth Recovery Project in Fall 2008 and Spring 2009. We perceive our waste moments before it gets flushed away or tossed in the dumpster. How changing this creates "solidarity" and "peace" I'm not sure.
