Forget Couric Interviewing Palin – How About Palin Interviewing Couric?

Will Sarah Palin get to put her journalism degree to use in the near future?

In a Fox & Friends interview this morning, she joked about wanting to interview Katie Couric. We found out what CBS thinks of that idea.

Gretchen Carlson interviewed Palin in Florida earlier this week – making it five Fox News hosts who have interviewed the bestselling author – and part two of the interview aired today. There was a lightning round of questions, including this from Carlson: “Chances you’ll ever grant Katie Couric another interview?”

“I would like to interview her,” said Palin. “I’d like to know if she’s learned anything yet about Alaska. I want to know if she understands yet what we have to contribute up there in the state of Alaska.”

Well CBS might call her bluff. CBS News & Sports President Sean McManus tells Mediaite, “I will huddle with Katie on Monday and see if we’ll accept that offer.” We have a feeling that may be tongue-in-cheek, but that would make for some great TV – or maybe an upcoming tables-turned @KatieCouric.

Turn the tables LOL.

If her presidential run does not materialize or pan out, she could always be a female Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh.

Suggested question: “Tell me Katie, what can you see on your colonoscope?”.

Sarah, don’t do it unless it is live and unedited. Otherwise, the SeeBS turds will edit it to death to artificially make the Perky b!tch look like a genius and to make you like like a cave girl.

Ooo I can think of quite a few hardball questions for the perky one. Can she do the interview in a Fox studio? Or at least have Fox there to also record, just so SeeBeeEss does ‘t try any more of their editing tricks.

That’d be a hoot.

Palin would soundly trounce both the peacock bimbo and the Kenyan Klod in a one-on-one (or if she’s the first one, a one -on -a fraction of one) debate.

Yes I mean it. She is smarter, far smarter. Sorry, that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it.

I liked the part in the interview where she told the story about Charles Gibson, who was in Alaska getting ready to interview her during the campaign. They were outdoors and she related how some hunters came by dressed in “camo” and saw her and asked if they could have their picture taken with her. They didn’t know who Gibson was and asked him to hold the cameras and take the photographs. Sarah said Gibson took the pictures and was good-natured about it.

Journalists only take interviews, they don't give them - against union rules.
Giving interviews, it is impossible to maintain a facade of objectivity. Bad form.

“If her presidential run does not materialize or pan out, she could always be a female Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh.”

At this point she has the highest approval rating among republicans of any candidate mentioned so far. Much higher.

I hope were not stupid enough to let the other side pick our candidate for us again like we did last time...

It should be on Sarah Palin’s TV special, which should be on Fox Network during Primetime. Actually, there should be a Sarah Palin TV special on Fox Network during Primetime, but Palin interviewing Couric really shouldn’t be part of it. I’d watch “Sarah Palin on Healthcare” on Fox (not Fox News), but the network. Lots of other people would watch it too. It would be her show, so she couldn’t look bad.

Sarah should forget this

Why give Curic any more exposure for her career

Katie’s skills are reporting and interviewing and being an on-screen personality. Oprah could interview her and talk about her life. Sarah is not Oprah and doesn’t need to act like Oprah. Well, Katie and Sarah could chitchat. They would not be rude to each other. Sarah would not try to recover the fumbles in her earlier interview with Katie. I daresay both of them would want a conversation that they could look back on with good feelings. But what a waste of time and a diversion into semi-tabloid entertainment for Sarah.

Palin has absolutely NOTHING to prove to ANYONE. *WE* the American people have proven OUR ignorance and OUR disregard for the republic by continuing to give credibility to the very media that seeks to destroy this country and everything it stands for. We do this by playing by THEIR rules, electing THEIR candidates, feeding into THEIR lies, conforming to THEIR establishment.

The more we discredit the media. The better. Pailn owes nobody in the media anything. Thank GOD for the internet, facebook, and alternative media sources on TV.

I AM SO SICK OF people bringing up Katie Couric. Palin did very well when it really mattered, like the *unedited* DEBATE with BIden. I thought Palin proved herself conversational on the important issues of the day and the sentiments of the AMerican public when she went head to head with a Veteran Senator like Joe Biden and held her own—if not outright winning the debate.

Her record speaks for itself. Actions speak louder than words. She was an amazing Governor in Alaska and by no means the extremist idealogue people in the media want to paint her as. She is especially well versed in one of the most pressing issues facing our country: ENERGY policy and her non-conformist credentials are so desperately needed to challenge the entrenched interests eating away at Washington.

Palin has nothing to prove. WE have to prove whether WE are even deserving of having a leader like her—an honest candidate who’s been willing to endure all the garbage she has just so she can be a voice for millions of people worried sick about the direction our nation is going.
