(CNSNews.com) Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) told CNSNews.com that President Barack Obama was giving 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed his wish by giving him a trial in federal civilian court instead of trying him before a military tribunal.
McCain was asked on Nov. 19 whether the administration might have to produce Mohammeds CIA interrogators if the terrorists defense lawyers call them as witnesses.
McCain said the answer was not clear because Obama had opened the civilian justice system to enemy combatants, a move that raised myriad problems and gave Khalid Sheik Mohammed, or KSM, what he wanted.

Joint Statement from U.S. Sens. Graham and McCain on Guantanamo Executive Order [we support Zero]
U.S. SENS. LINDSEY GRAHAM & JOHN MCCAIN ^ | 2009-01-22
We support President Obamas decision to close the prison at Guantanamo, reaffirm Americas adherence to the Geneva Conventions, and begin a process that will, we hope, lead to the resolution of all cases of Guantanamo detainees, said Senator Lindsey Graham and Senator John McCain. The executive orders issued today constitute an important step in the right direction but leave several major issues unaddressed.
"I have to tell you, [Obama] is a decent person, a person that you
do not have to be scared [of] as president of the United States."
U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, 10 OCT. 2008
"I think the Democratic Party is a fine party, and I have
no problems with it, in their views and their philosophy."
U.S. SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, 02 APR. 2004
F U McLame ...You sold out America ...Had no intention of winning the election ...Palin did , though , not that I am a fan . Retire ...retire ...retire ...you piece of **** .
This is a sick joke. McCain gave us Obama. So much for bipartianship.
But McCain really wanted to win. You win by highlighting your opponents superior attributes ;-)
So, then, what would John “I will close GITMO on Day One of my Presidency” McCain have done differently?
