It is from all the money she saves from plane tickets.

Nancy Pelosi spends $2,993 on flowers

That amount of money would feed multiple families for a month. Unfortunately the queen of botox has her priorities up her posterior (and her heart too).

I remember when they got all bent out of shape over Sarah Palin’s wardrobe expense, which was not covered by taxpayers.

She and her party are starting to make the court of Louis the XVI look like ascetic philanthropists.

She’s not the only one. Take a look at the PDF at the link. It’s all a free ride, we pay them but then they don’t have to pay for anything themselves. Water, food, office space, janitorial services, mileage, taxi, loads of staff. Nice ride we give them, no wonder they never want to leave.

Anyone who has been to the Capitol bldg. knows that the argument that her office needs to be decorated for ceremonial visits is specious.

I can see bottled water spending, but given the “save the environment” position of the Democratic Party, a five gallon dispenser or filtered water dispenser would be a one time expense with a small amount of maintenance and it would be consistent with the Party platform for reducing waste and consumption, and it will also generate very little landfill material and burn less fuel to produce per liter than the bottled water solution.

And how come the “Food & Beverage” line item is so high? What is that? $1500 of tax payer dollars per week spent on food and beverage? That’s more than most Americans make in two weeks of work. And if you’ve been to the Capitol, they have a pretty darned awesome cafeteria.... So what’s up with the expensive eating out? Who the heck is she “hosting” for her lunches and dinners that make them “work” related?

This stinks of abuse, and it doesn’t matter if it is a Republican or a Democrat doing it. It is right up there with her request for newer, bigger planes to carry her, her staff, and her family anywhere she may wish to go. She considers such perks her “right” by way of victory.

Gee, I could afford 2 new cars for me and my husband, instead of the 10 year old clunkers we’re making do with now, for that kind of dough. Lot more beneficial than something that dies and gets thrown away every few days.

Nancy Pelosi spends $2,993 on flowers

She is a good practicing socialist.

What we see as exorbitant and wasteful spending, she can rationalize as "redistribution of the wealth".

Your (notice I didn't say my or our) high-spending president can also rationalize all of his partying and domestic/international trips as "redistribution of the wealth".

It's all about how your ideology spins it.

However, I still don't appreciate the exorbitant and wasteful spending of "my money" on non-essential items such as flowers, no matter how many jobs are "saved or created".
