Hey, another veteran of the early 80s slowdown. Watching the news you got the idea the world was coming to an end at any moment. That Reagan was President didn’t help the tone of the news coverage.
Can you raise a family or pay bills on 12 hours, 18 hours a week? But it keeps the unemployment numbers looking better, eh?
The one good thing about the ‘80s downturn is I got off my butt, went back to college and rebuilt myself.
I’ve been 20 years employed and for the most part happy.
For sure MUCH richer!
Hope & Change!
You got good reason to be nervous pal.
With the leadership this country's had since Reagan, we should all be nervous about just surviving this corrupt government and their deep seated corruption.
My husband doesn’t count either. He was a contractor, lost his job in April. In Michigan, there is nothing. If I didn’t have a good, secure job, we’d be gone for greener pastures.
During the Recession of the 80’s a good portion of my Dad’s family moved to Texas and never looked back.
People here in Indy are unable to find a job. Things are getting really bad.
How long are citizens going to put up with this crap?
