Actually, Harbison Canyon is the wrong place for a robber or burglar to do his business. Folks down in there will shoot you and dump your body in some hole.

I agree! A sheriff’s spokesman was on tv about a year ago, after a burglar was shot and killed by a homeowner, and said that “People should be careful, as most people in East County have guns.” LOL!

When I lived in La Mesa, I’d go down to Hiram’s in El Cajon and ogle the guns on the wall. The front half of the store was a liquor store - I kid you not.
One question about the story: if the area is unincorporated, how can it be El Cajon?

To give you an idea of how much El Cajon has changed, my grandfather graduated from the only high school in town in a class of but five students.
