"Government Has Yet to Provide Evidence to Support Its Prosecution of Navy Seals for Alleged Punching of Terrorist"

(CNSNews.com) – Though trial dates have been set for mid-January, defense attorneys for three Navy SEALs charged with offenses arising from the alleged punching a terror suspect in the mid-section said at an arraignment on Monday in Norfolk, Va., that the government still had not provided any evidence in the case.
If defense attorneys do not get the evidence soon enough to review it, it might raise the need for a delay in the trial date, said Monica Lombardi, civilian attorney for Julio Antonio Huertas Jr., 28, who pleaded innocent in military court at the Norfolk Naval Station on Monday. His trial date is set for Jan. 11, 2010.
Lombardi told CNSNews.com that the government provided no time window as to when the evidence will be provided. She told reporters it is “highly unusual” to wait this long for evidence and predicted the trial might be delayed if the defense does not have adequate time to review the evidence.
Matthew Vernon McCabe, 24, deferred his plea at the arraignment on Monday. His civilian attorney Neal Puckett said it is routine for him not to offer a plea for his clients at the arraignment."

Disgusting how Obama's name escapes these travesties; including Eric Holder's decsion (we know, not his alone of course) to bring terrorits under protection of our Justice system and into our Country.
Meantime, am hearing a great deal about this absurd and loathsome, America-damning; not to mention the Seals themselves = effort; but never with Obama's name as signature.
And with no correxponding demands for HIS accountability in both cases.
Outrageous; we should be lifting up our White House; and shaking it, until we get answers.
Hell, I don't even know how to express it, and I'd probably be off-base if I did. All I know is that if men like these can be treated the way they are being treated, while Chris Dodd and Barney Frank and Eric Holder and every Alinskyite SOB within 5,000 miles gets to make up rules as they go, then this phony studio-set of a republic can burn down to the ground. This morning, I wouldn't waste a good urine stream on it.

All the defense needs to do is introduce the chapter from the official Al Queda training manual that instructs captured terrorists to make false claims of abuse.
Unless a SEAL confesses (ain’t gonna happen), that will do it.
I just don’t understand how the officer who conducted the Article 32 investigation could decide a court martial was warranted if he had not been shown any evidence. If he did see evidence I don’t understand how the defendants could be expected to enter a plea without seeing that evidence. I also don’t understand why Obama and Holder think a military trial is justified for the GIs who capture terrorists but not justified for the terrorists.

This has to have a chilling effect on military recruiting.
I wish the SEALs had just capped that POS and buried it somewhere. Would’ve saved a LOT of trouble.
