People really are sheep.
I don’t know if anyone remembers, but years ago the mayor of Philadelphia suggested they ban super-soakers. The reason? Some kid had squirted some guy (with water) with his super-soaker. The guy got upset, pulled out a real gun and shot the kid dead (with real bullets.)
Which brings us to the people are sheep part. I remember a guy calling the radio (I believe it was Rush) defending the super-soaker ban. He was saying super-soakers were dangerous. They are killing our kids so they need to be banned.
Yep, there were really people that bought into the idea that squirt-guns were dangerous weapons that killed people.
Locally we had an idiot whining to the papers about a billboard that had a naked baby on it. Her problem was that she thought it sent the wrong message to have an undressed baby on a billboard during the bitter cold of winter.
