Poll of GOP “insiders”: It’s time for Palin to go away
Hot Air ^ | Dec.11, 2009 | Allahpundit

Given the conventional wisdom that “elitist” derision towards her only makes her supporters support her more adamantly, you’d think savvy Beltway consultants who don’t like her would keep that fact to themselves. And yet. Here’s their answer to the question, “Which voice in your party would you most like to mute?”

That’s among “political” insiders, i.e. consultants. Among senators and congressmen polled, she finished second behind “no one,” tied with Michele Bachmann and Glenn Beck, among others. These insiders are the same people, mind you, who earlier this year voted her seventh among Republican governors with the brightest political future (Mark Sanford was fifth). No wonder she enjoys jabbing them with threats about going third-party.

I think it’s time for the “GOP insiders” to go away. But that’s just me. Those morons gave us Obama. (And it appears that most of them voted for him.)

Poll of GOP “insiders”: It’s time for Palin to go away

I wonder if a poll of non-insider GOP members would reveal that the aforementioned insiders were considered to be arrogant pricks who are effing over the party.

Ah yes: the political "consultants" are heard from.

Do you know what a consultant is?

It's a man who know 569 different ways to make love... but doesn't actually know any women.

It may even be a rumor from the other side.

Thanks for being skeptical. There was a related story running today that was bogus.

Our party leadership is full of people who think conservatives are scum.

That's funny - we think the same about them. Their time is growing short.

What is a GOP insider?

Who decided what is a GOP insider?

is there an application? rule? Guidebook?

Are these the same buffoons who ignored us on TARP?
Are these the same buffoons who ignored us on illegal aliens?
Are these the same buffoons who ARE ignoring us on healthcare?

Methinks it is time for the insiders to go, and go far away.

The ancient Greeks had it right. If a politician was “too much an insider” he was banished for 10 years. (and life expectancy was much shorter then)

Oh boo-hoo.

The poor, poor GOP hacks are miffed that Sarah is gonna ruin their clique in 2010 and 2012. Their plans for “Juan McCain Redux have hit a snag!!!

Everytime they send me donation letter, I send it back with a picture of Sarah inside it.

We can quite easily do *without* these “elite insiders”.

We don’t need them, their connections, or their money.

They can all dry up and blow away, and no one will miss them.

They are effete, craven, and worthless in any struggke...of whatever natur.

Get lost, you useless Nowhere Men.

You forgot to mention which orifice they can pound it in.

Every one they've got. ;^)

They can start with their mouths actually because I don't want to hear another thing about being "inclusive" when all they mean is "we're going to run a liberal."

Well, first of all, Allahpundit has a long record of Sarah bashing. He hates Sarah. So, regard this with suspicion.

But the numbers could well be true.

The basic problem is that insiders like to wheel and deal. THEY run the party. THEY make the offers. THEY sell the senate and congressional slots.

The last thing in the world they want to see is a powerful source coming at them from completely outside the party leadership. Someone who can’t be bribed or bought. Someone who won’t pay them for giving them the nod. Someone who might even—perish the thought—sweep them out of their jobs.

If you’ve read Going Rogue, there’s this mysterious outfit called “headquarters” that runs the McCain campaign, tells Sarah what to do, micromanages the campaign—and screws up. It seems obvious that McCain was just another figurehead. Somebody else was running the campaign, and presumably the primary earlier.

These are the guys who send Sarah the mysterious message—”GET OFF THE ATKINS DIET!” Sarah answers, “But I’m not on the Atkins diet.” “Never mind, says one of those idiot handlers. Get off it immediately! And whatever you do, don’t go to the back of the plane and talk to the reporters!”

Sarah is very polite about McCain all through the book—as is proper in the circumstances. McCain is a patriot, he wants the good of the country. The real problem is “headquarters,” and all those idiot handlers who are jumping ship by the time November comes around, sabotaging McCain so they can get a job with somebody else.

Or the woman who puts Sarah on the Katie Couric show because poor Katie needs a little help with her viewer numbers. And (although Sarah never says so) probably so she can get a job with Katie or the networks after the campaign is over.

McCain seems to take all of this for granted. He’s a good little candidate. Sarah is another matter.

and our party is full of people who think the “leadership” are scum. If we are going to take the country to hell in a socialist handbasket it is going to be because of the Republican leaderships’s fantasy that if you go along in the “out” years, the communist, socialists, and so forth will go along with you when your party is in power. Here’s news. We aint gonna support the Republican party if they aren’t going to be Republicans. Out goes the leadership and in comes new leadership that says no to Democratic leaders, philosophy, and anti-Americanism’ and to RINO’s. That will be change we can believe in.

IF there were any "GOP Insiders" who knew what the hell they were doing, we wouldn't be sitting here watching 'rats give our nation away to a bunch of turd world and eurotrash socialists.

These are selfserving careerist cockroaches who see their precious money-machines threatened with a shut-off, and will gladly sell out their country for a few more years of feckless corruption.
