The Obama administration will officially announce on Tuesday that some Guantanamo prison terrorists will be shipped to the Thomson, Illinois correctional center, according to ABC News. Despite polls showing 51% of Illinois residents oppose the move, the state's Democrats are elated.

I want to officially go on record as saying this is going to be a ginormous mistake.
Imagine the howls that will come when they have their first prison break or God forbid someone drives a truck bomb through the front gate of this place.

Built on 146 acres, Thomson is a Level 1, adult male, maximum-security prison with 1,600 cells and eight housing units. The facility is enclosed by a 12-foot exterior fence and 15-foot interior fence, which includes a dual sided electric stun fence. Currently, the Illinois Department of Corrections is only using a very small portion of the facility, and there is no opening date in the foreseeable future for the main complex.

1)How much have we spent retrofitting Gitmo since 2001 to make it "acceptable" for the muslims?
2)How much did we pay for the prison in Illinois?
3)How much will it cost to employ new unionized federal employees to work the prison? How much in benefits, retirement, disability, etc. We had all of that paid for when Navy personnel were taking care of Gitmo. And don't tell me we'll pay nothing since they will be contracted employees. We still pay!
