Lieberman told reporters Tuesday that if the Medicare expansion and government insurance plan are gone, "I'm going to be in a position where I can say what I've wanted to say all along: that I'm ready to vote for health care reform."

What, exactly is left when these two Obama-like t*rds are removed from the remaining septic pile?
There hasn’t been a trustworthy (ex) New England Democrat in my lifetime.
Oops, those two you know whats I was referring to were the two govt care items removed...not Leib. He’s still a bit wobbly, but (to me) he still appears to have a smidgen of morality.
I have been praising Joe for two days now and he let us all down. Wow, I feel so used. Time for him to go too!
Read the whole story. Lieberman said if there’s no medicare expansion AND no public option. He’s basically daring Harry Reid to take the medicare expansion out. If he does then they’d still have to change the abortion language to appease Ben Nelson. To get 60 Harry would have to make a no-public option bill with no medicare expansion and strict restrictions against federal money funding abortions. It would be beautiful because it would do absolutely nothing BUT cause healthcare costs to rise. Pelosi and the House radicals would revolt and demand the public option and abortion funding be reinserted in conference, causing Joe and Ben to vote against it the second time.
If this thing somehow finds a way to pass Joe will have done us all a huge favor because we’d have no real change to the healthcare system, just a sure to be bloated and inefficient government system to run against in 2010. I’m going to go donate some money to Joe right now. Well played, sir, well played!
What about Bernie Sanders, who was making strong statements in November?
“November 24, 2009
MONTPELIER U.S. Sen. Bernard Sanders drew a line in the sand on health care reform this weekend, saying he will not vote for a bill that does not include a public health insurance option.”

Anyone heard from Bernie lately? Or maybe he’s working on his half trillion pieces of silver, also.
ObamaCare will be written down, in a form pleasing to Obama, after it is passed by Congress.
The nature of our government has fundamentally changed. They just go through the motions of a constitutional republic.
Never trust a Dem, especially an ex-Dem.
We simply cannot trust any politician to do the will of the people. Democratic oposition to Obamacare merly means that they need a few hundred million in pork for their district in exchange for their vote. Ala Landrieu, Nelson, and now Lieberman. Our enemy is the dumbed down Americans that continually reelect these moral cretins.
Anybody know what the deal is if this thing passes the Senate and goes to conference with the House for a final bill? Does it need 60 votes when it comes back for a final vote in the Senate?
OK folks. Has anyone learned a lesson today?
“I’ve never doubted that something would pass.”....
Something passed alright....A giant turd on our heads!
Has anyone learned a lesson today you ask? NO ! We are the wrong ones to ask. We all know what is going on here.
Doesn’t matter what is in the original bill, they will shove the kitchen sink and everything else in as amendments between the time it is signed by 0bama and the time it is implemented in 2013 or what I would prefer, never.
Seriously, if there’s no medicare expansion and no public option what, exactly, does the bill do to change things from the way they are now? From what I can tell all it does is create the insurance-industry controlled public money pool for the uninsured and all that money is taken from the insurance companies, anyway. Yes, you need 60 again after the bill comes back from conference committee.
This is a beautiful nothing. All Obama cares about, obviously, is saying he got something passed. When insurance rates skyrocket and people start blaming him for this mess we’ll be able to run against it thanks to universal republican opposition.
And does he know or care exactly what is in this bill that he is now supporting.
How dare we ask!!!
