Senate's Solution: Consumer Choice Is Dead on Arrival

According to the health care reform bill being debated in the U.S. Senate, there's an easy way to solve the problem of the uninsured in this country:

* Force people to buy health insurance just like we do with auto insurance.

* Make insurance companies accept everyone who applies, including those who want insurance only when they're sick.

* Don't let companies get away with selling plans that don't cover everything.

We may have to buy auto insurance but at least we can shop for it.

Why doesn’t the government just pay every medical bill? It would be far cheaper than doing this dance all around the same final result. Just as un-Constitutional but cheaper and less destructive of the health care system.

I really think the Congress should pass a law that everyone has to buy a Government Motors car, too. Taxpayers can subsidize those who can’t afford an Escalade.

I wouldn't worry about any of this anymore. It's over. "Reform" is DOA. If anything, I think the age for qualifying for Medicare, as with Social Security, will be raised, maybe to age 70. That should save some money.

Congress has learned its lesson and will start focusing on what it's supposed to be doing: raising the debt ceiling and renaming post offices throughout the land.

Try reading the article, instead of just the excerpt, which is a statement of what Obamacare is attempting to force upon us. She demolishes each of those points.

Driving a vehicle on public roads is a voluntary privilege or license. A condition of the issuance of that license is the purchase of a minimum level of liability insurance.

The health insurance mandate is being imposed as a dictate on all citizens. In effect, this turns citizenship for individuals born in this country into a conditional privilege.

If Obama and the Unions could pull it off, they would raise the tariffs so high on foreign cars that we could only buy GM. And then government WOULD subsidize anyone for more expensive cars.

These people are really out of control.

” this turns citizenship for individuals born in this country into a conditional privilege.

Now you understand. Obama and the NWO consider your life dependent on their whims.
