Iran's president says he will soon write to the UN Secretary-General asking for his country to be compensated for World War II damages.
"We will seek compensation for World War II damages. I have assigned a team to calculate the costs," Ahmadinejad said.
"I will write a letter to the UN Secretary-General [Ban Ki-moon] asking for Iran to be compensated for the damages," he added, pointing out that such a move was necessary to ensure that justice was served.
"During this period, the Iranian people were subjected to a great deal of pressure and the country suffered a great deal of damages but Iran was not paid any compensation," Ahmadinejad explained.
At the start of World War II, Iran declared its neutrality, but was soon invaded by Britain and the Soviet Union in Operation Countenance.
Iran's refusal to expel all German nationals from the country was the excuse they needed to occupy the country. Within months of the invasion Iran became known as "The Bridge of Victory" to the Allies.
Food and other essential items were scarce and severe inflation imposed great hardship on the lower and middle classes as the needs of foreign troops were prioritized.
"Not only was Iran deprived of any compensation for World War II, but 10 years later, the Americans even went as far as arranging a coup to reverse a popular uprising that had led to the nationalization of oil," said Ahmadinejad.

Ya fly with the crows, ya get shot with the crows....
once again, reality renders satire impossible
Persia was changed to Iran in 1935. Iran was the word for “Aryan”. The change was because the then-Shah was an admirer of Hitler.
We could send him a miniature pony?
This news just in, Egypt sued by jews for compensation of spending 40 years in the wilderness.
Seems Ahmadinnerjacket has found something Obama hasn’t apologized for yet.
We oughta WW III Iran so nutjob forgets all about WW II.
Then again the Holocaust was fiction to monkey man so why all the hullaballoo anyway?
Iran sues Greece for loss of Battle of Marathon.
I have problems with this because during WWII, Iran sided with the Germans and housed KG200.
Sorry that was Iraq
Almamadnutjob should consider the consequences of his actions. When you spend your country to disaster making nukes and missiles, why should the rest of the world bail you out with phony reparations money?
Israel, it is time. They are so broke, they will be fighting back with spit balls.
Ahmanutjob needs to be reminded that it was THE SOVIETS who did by far the nost damage to Iran in that war, bombing civilians in the cities, and keeping Azerbaijan.
Ahmanutjob should be careful that world doesn’t begin assessing reparations upon Iran for all the terrorism they have exported these last three decades.

OPINION:
Ahmadinejad, I checked the “naughty
and nice” list and your name is at the
top of the “naughty” list.
As a spirit of goodwill towards men;
I would send you a fruitcake for Christmas,
but that would be a wasted effort because
you are one.
You’re a dangerous fruitcake.
Period.

Special Dispatch - No. 2492 August 17, 2009
On July 12, 2009, the Iranian news agency ISNA published a letter written by Iranian chief of staff Hassan Firouzabadi to the Hidden Imam (the Shi’ite messiah, also called the Mahdi). In his letter, Firouzabadi depicts the post-election protests as a conspiracy against the Iranian regime by the West and the reformists in Iran. He also rejects accusations of Basij brutality, saying that the group did not act against the Iranian people in suppressing the protests, but rather tried to protect them. He concludes by urging the Hidden Imam to come speedily and launch a worldwide Islamic revolution.
Following are excerpts from the letter:”
