Looks like it took about five days for him and his staff to decide how to handle it. Outraged denial was definitely one way to go, but it’s easier to take seriously when it doesn’t take a week to get there.

Well, you see, he passed out shortly after his little “speech”. His “handlers” had to wait for him to wake up and recover from his hangover before they could send him out to deny he was roaring drunk.

Outraged denial was definitely one way to go, but its easier to take seriously when it doesnt take a week to get there. Yup. He'd also be more credible if he faced the press and addressed the allegations himself. That he released a statement through his press flack speaks volumes to me.
