I guess I’m trying to understand why he felt so sure the assailant wouldn’t do anything to the granddaughter? Why not?
Obviously he was first on his hit list, but there’s nothing in the koran that spares infidels regardless of gender or age.
I think he needs to hire an armed bodyguard and keep the house well equipped with needed firepower and take out this dirtbag and any others like him the second they darken his doorstep. Send him to allah, that’s where he wants to go, oblige him. You’ll get a combined sense of justice and relief, with a smidgeon of joy knowing he won’t kill any other innocent infidels.

I read an interview where he had been given this advice.That they mostly were after him. So therby removing himself from his granddaughter was the proper thing to do. She had a broken bone I think. I think it was the wrong thing to do. He and his granddaughter were very lucky.
