I agree the abuse of power needs to be a focus. DC finds ways around the Constitution or just ignore it and the press is complicit. However, I’m not focused on the BC/Kenya thing. My opinion is that Obama is not a natural born citizen because of his father. And I don’t usually frequent these threads anymore as it’s the same posters saying the same tired rhetoric that we don’t need to focus on Constitutional questions.

1. If it is a constitution REQUIREMENT for a President to be born in the U.S., then how exactly does Zero get by without demonstrating his fulfills it.

First, it is not simply a matter of being born in the USA. The president must BE a Natural Born Citizen, ie born on US soil of 2 citizen parents. IF Obama Sr. is indeed his daddy, then he is NOT a NBC even if he was born in HI, per the laws at the alleged time of his birth.

Next, he gets away with it because we have 535 co-conspirators in the US CONgre$$ and 9 worthless members of SCOTUS.

2. I'm no constitutional lawyer, but if this is a government “by the people”, then why don't the people have standing in a case...

No need to be a constitutional lawyer to know we certainly do have standing. See the reference to SCOTUS and the picture posted above.

I love how the media plays along with Saul Alinsky in their methods surrounding the legitimate questions that citizens have.

I would argue the majority of the people raising questions about Natural Born Citizen are more looking for a definitive answer from SCOTUS on this issue. Why does this need to be grey area? Why can’t their be a debate and/or discussion on the Constitutional requirement. Why can’t this be totally out in the open?

There must be something here that is going to cause a problem for some in power...so they:

They freeze it:
It is about whether he was born in Hawaii or not

They personalize it:
They are “birthers”

They polarize it:
These people are nuts, if you believe what the birther’s believe you are out of touch and a danger

Who would want to be in the group? The fact of the matter is they misrepresent what is going on here. It is amazingly frustrating that an ordinary Joe cannot find out about things about their elected officials that are responsible for our overall security and are spending our hard-earned money.

Wasn’t it Obama that promised transparency? So why are these questions a problem? Why are people so willing to defend him on this? It makes no sense - one person could stop ALL of this - that is Obama and in fact if he did answer these questions with irrefutable proof it would be a major boost for him and political agenda. Since his agenda is so important to him doesn’t it make sense for him to solve this problem.

I think the people that are raising questions are eventually going to have more issues with organizations like INTERPOL then they are from internally.

What I take from this is that Fitzpatrick is fighting the good fight, and the Secret Service has become something of a Gestapo organization.

The other disturbing thing I have noted is that the absurd FactCheck.org is being hailed as a credible source of information.

If the federal army should be able to quell the resistance of one State, the distant States would have it in their power to make head with fresh forces. The advantages obtained in one place must be abandoned to subdue the opposition in others; and the moment the part which had been reduced to submission was left to itself, its efforts would be renewed, and its resistance revive.

We should recollect that the extent of the military force must, at all events, be regulated by the resources of the country. For a long time to come, it will not be possible to maintain a large army; and as the means of doing this increase, the population and natural strength of the community will proportionably increase. When will the time arrive that the federal government can raise and maintain an army capable of erecting a despotism over the great body of the people of an immense empire, who are in a situation, through the medium of their State governments, to take measures for their own defense, with all the celerity, regularity, and system of independent nations? The apprehension may be considered as a disease, for which there can be found no cure in the resources of argument and reasoning.”
