Neil Cavuto just read news crossing the wire.
Two fighter jets were launched by NORAD from Tyndall AFB in FL due to an issue with an unruly passenger on an Air Tran flight from Atlanta to San Francisco.
Hopefully, more follows soon.
Plane has landed at Colorado Springs airport.
A young man was taken into custody after the flight was diverted.
The man was thought to be intoxicated and locked himself in the bathroom.
The crew radioed the situation, and the fighters were launched.
Everyone's safe on the flight .. the passenger is in custody.
Under some circumstances, yes. To protect people on the ground from a flying bomb. After all, if the thing is going to be crashed into a building or stadium anyway, controlling the location of the crash isn't going to make much difference to those on the plane.
But not for a drunk.
They are mentioning this plea deal alot.
Judge Napolitano had guys on saying that Brennan is a A kisser bigtime.
He is the 1st one to mention plea bargaining.
I expect anything on this one.
Especially with a Rich daddy from Nigeria.
Probably a somewhat dark-skinned Caucasian who had an unidentifiable accent or mannerisms. I’m thinking Pakistani, personally.
What’s with the “trippin” and coming out without his shoes and socks and a razor? That doesn’t sound good. And where’d he get the razor from?
I thought he was just a drunk barfing into the toilet, but it doesn’t sound that way. Remember the crotch bomber went into the bathroom and seemed confused and drugged when he came out.

Not much in this situation. But it's still good practice for the pilots and their ground controllers.

Arabs and Indians look fairly similar although to people who live there they don’t.
If it was Indian (remember the helper Indian guy seen at the airport in the Netherlands) he would undoubtedly be Muslim, if indeed he was Indian.

With the uptick in terror attempts that I see coming, and the idea of all of the perps being taken to court as criminals, with circus trials lasting years, this will seem like an enormous and spectacular joke to those with a reasonable and realistic view of what’s happening under this administration. We are so screwed. <<

I was on an Embraer from Houston to BHM that had a bathroom door that wouldn't stay closed. I was seated at the back of the plane. It was really horrible, the smells and noises we put up with..Thanks, Continental.
There are some Muslim Indians, but I’m voting for Paki! They’re the big terrorist South Asian group, particularly in Europe.
I’m still waiting to hear more about the lack of shoes and socks and that he supposedly had a razor when he emerged from the bathroom. That’s definitely unnerving.
I’ve been thinking about all these scrambled jets. On one hand it is good, show of force kinda’ thing. The other hand...what are they gonna do if, IF, it is a real crisis?
Folks, they will fire on that plane. Everyone on board will die. A couple hundred lives vs. thousands. Escort the plane my backside. The minute one of these airliner’s pilots fails to respond appropriately, the plane will be shot down.
Your life is not in the pilot’s hands on that plane. It is in your hands and every freedom loving person on your flight. When all the government security BS has failed, it still comes down to one thing, us or them.
What are you prepared to do? I know it has been a long time since some of us talked to our family, but as these incidents escalate I want my kids, nephews/nieces, etc. to know if something goes wrong...I fought for my life, my fellow passengers lives, and for those on the ground so they wouldn’t see another 9/11. And, if the government decided to shoot my plane down; rest assured I would have wanted it that way, should I fail.

He had a razor? Sounds like more than just some “crazy” dude. A middle eastern looking man with a razor. Now where have we heard that one before...
