Zero sum: If the government spends more on wasteful crap, then the people have less to spend on the the things they need.

I didn't realize this was happening. Taxing charitable donations is as obscene and immoral as legalizing abortion. It is an assertion of omnipotence by the state. I would think passing such legislation would be the tipping point of the social order.

Liberals believe that you can raise the toll on a bridge from a buck to ten bucks and that will raise ten times the revenue.
