CLEMSON — Once you got past the citizens with bullhorns and politically savvy signs, opposition to Sen. Lindsey Graham continued inside The Brooks Center on Tuesday evening.

The South Carolina Republican came to Clemson to host a town hall-style meeting with the public, and ended up greeting a mixed bag of political opinions.

After outlining the importance of health care reform on the heels of competition rather than a monopoly, a strong support of conflict laws in the military and less dependency on foreign oil, the floor opened to those wishing to address Graham and his policies.

While the senator welcomed plenty of applause, he received mostly negative feedback when addressing issues such as voting to confirm Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and stating that conservatism is the best way to get and keep a job.

Similar to South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson’s “You lie” outburst to President Barack Obama, someone yelled “Traitor” after Graham stated how crucial it is for Republicans to work with Democrats to make progress across the political board.

Graham stated how crucial it is for Republicans to work with Democrats
He said that? With a straight face?
While the Dems commies are planning to overthrow the Constitution behind closed doors?
No one brought tar and feathers to this meeting?

Graham is like every other Rhino. His message is just send me your money and then shut up and let me make the decisions for you. Work for my reelection then go away for six years.

Looks like Lindsey is having to spend some of his big, fat warchest on security in his own home town.
