Dem Staffer Apologizes For Shoving Weekly Standard Reporter

As you may have heard, a Dem staffer helping the Martha Coakley campaign was caught on video shoving a Weekly Standard reporter, prompting an explosion of outrage from national Republicans and the right-wing media, who alleged bullying and intimidation.

Now the staffer, Michael Meehan, sends over a statement admitting error (though not conceding bullying) and saying he also apologized directly to the Standard reporter, John McCormack:

This is all fine and good. So, is Marftha going to apologize for just standing there and watching (and apologize for saying she saw nothing)?

While on the subject of apologies, is Marftha going to apologize to the families that lost loved ones due to terrorism in Afganistan during Monday's debate? You know, the Afganistan that has no terrorists.

Seriously, now that Meehan’s confessed, it is imperative that Coakley fire him. There is no middle ground. Either she’s an unrepentant accomplice to an assault, or she is the chief law enforcement officer in the State. She can’t have it both ways.
