Straight Talk from Sen. McCain (McCain says he wants bipartisan health care reform)
Fox ^ | 2010-01-14

(snip)

VAN SUSTEREN: Would you be willing, and this is maybe a given, but let me ask you anyway. Would you be willing to sit down with the president? Are Republicans willing to? Democrats say you Republicans are obstructionists, that you won't talk you and are just trying to abort the whole process. What are you willing to do?

MCCAIN: We are willing to sit down. He wanted to be in on the takeoff. If you want us in on the landing, let us in on the takeoff.

The fact is this process was partisan totally throughout. I've been a part of a number of compromises and agreements and legislation that has been bipartisan in the time that I've been in the Senate. It requires people sitting down together and making concessions, not being dictated to.

And, frankly, I've never been in a process where basically it was bribery. It was bribery to buy votes by extending the "Louisiana purchase," the "cornhusker kickback," the special deals for the other states at the expense of the average taxpayer.

(snip)

MCCAIN: Before I mention that, could I just make myself clear. I know we Republicans are willing to sit down at any time with the president and the Democrats and start all over and get this health care reform done, because we need health care reform. We just don't need it done this way.

I’m beginning to think that RINOs are the “spotted owls” of the Republican party.
They’re just a way to stop conservatives from doing anything.

I’d like two-party health care reform, but the Democrats won’t hear of it, so I’ll probably vote for one-party health care reform, just to get something done. Sometimes you have to settle for calling the glass half full, right sailor?

Glenn Beck has said some damning things about people who need damning things said about them. Yesterday on his FOX program he referred to MeMeMeCane as a “progressive”. Succinct at its best.

Well, two things they can do to “reform” health care is tort reform, and get the govt mandates out of the insurance business.

McCain is a loser.

Why do they keep going to this loser to find out what Republicans want.

Republicans do not want what McCain wants.

Why do we need health care reform?

We don't. We need government reform by way of an enema.

McCaain has had a lot of practice sitting down and consorting -— er conspiring——er- compromising with the “other” side.

on his FOX program he referred to MeMeMeCane as a “progressive”

He said more than that. He said it sickened him to vote for McCain, but he did because Palin was on the ticket. He made clear to Palin that he felt McCain was a great hero, but that he was a big time "Progressive," That would hurt the country. Palin made a weak defense of McCain, but Glenn shot that down. Hope Sarah, got the message, McCain is no friend of the Republic.

I get really sick of hearing what McCain thinks. All you have to do is look at prince Harry and dilute the pure socialism with 1% nonsense and then you have McCain’s position They guy should swap parties and be done with it, and btw if his daughter lost 50 lb and gained 50 IQ points, then might be considered a mediocrity.
