Martha Coakley's Convictions
Wall Street Journal ^ | January 14, 2010 | DOROTHY RABINOWITZ

Posted on 01/15/2010 6:09:33 AM PST by ninonitti

The Amiraults were a busy, confident trio, grateful in the way of people who have found success after a life of hardship. Violet had reared her son Gerald and daughter Cheryl with help from welfare, and then set out to educate herself. The result was the triumph of her life—the Fells Acres school—whose every detail Violet scrutinized relentlessly. Not for nothing was the pre-school deemed by far the best in the area, with a long waiting list for admission.

Her behavior qualifies her as a successor to Teddy. Unfortunately for her the voters of Massachusettes disagree.

I went to Jr. and High School with Cheryl. I hope there’s enough people in Malden with long memories.

Wow...even though I know better, it still stuns me to see people with this type of decision making process considered for public office

This case paralleled the McMartin Preschool Case in California. The mood of the time was frightened. Frightened of the possibility these allegations might be true. By the time Coakley was involved in the Amirault’s case, she should have been aware of the coerced evidence in these cases. The woman has no conscience. But she knows better than the great unwashed, doesn’t she? Typical Dem.

Another perfect Rabinowitz report on the Amirault horror story.

Well, unlike the murderer Ted, she didn't kill anyone......That we know of anyway. She only falsely imprisoned them for years.

Looks like Rabinowitz’ book exposing the lies in the Amirault case came out before Coakley was involved. This is a very scary woman. I hope Massachusetts comes to it's collective senses before next Tuesday.

I absolutely agree. Ms Rabinowitz’s articles on this sad case were terrifyingly good. Ms Coakley existence as an elected official is a sad commentary on the Massachusetts’ electorate.

The Judicial system in "Massachusettes" is incredible. Years of one party rule have filled the courthouses and benches with the corrupt and incompetent.

It was this system that enabled Kennedy to get away with murder.

Martha is just the latest in a string of do nothing Attorney General's to oversee this system.

The fact that she can't see a reporter get pushed to the ground in front of her demonstrates her abilities as chief law enforcer in the state

OMG ! That is such a horrifying abuse of power, one can hardly read the details. Why isn't Coakley disbarred and in prison ? Why haven't the victims received a million dollars for pain and suffering needlessly inflicted by Coakley and the State ?

“Coakley is a vile POS.”

I see you posted this twice! You probably didn’t mean to post twice- but I am glad that you did because
“Coakley is a vile POS” was worth repeating again and again.

Please G-d let Scott Brown win and let his election be the beginning of getting our country back....

WHOA!!

This Amirault case is CHILLINGLY similar to a very famous case here in New Zealand. Right down to the bizarre accusations AND the singling out for special punishment of the only male accused.

The Peter Ellis Case is notorious as a miscarriage of Justice within the British Commonwealth. It has practically ruined Peter Ellis' life, having falsely put him in gaol for child molestering, in much the same way as described in this article for Gerald Amirault. And despite his ongoing and ceaseless pleas of innocence, his appeals to have his conviction overturned have consistently failed.

Yet the child abuse accusations against him were so bizarre as to be impossible -- just like what has happened here. Things like cannibalism. Baby murders. Animal mutilation. And no evidence, naturally. Kids being relentlessly interrogated until they "told the truth" and pointed the finger at Peter Ellis.

Even the timeline is similar -- mid 1980's / early 1990's.

What I found most remarkable about this article was that until today I had not heard of the Amirault case -- and I doubt if many people in New Zealand have, either. If any. But, as from tomorrow, I will be contacting Peter Ellis' people and pointing them at this article you posted.

Maybe it will help Peter Ellis. I do not know if the Amiraults know about Peter, but the above link gives some information. Maybe it, too, might help.

Thankyou for posting it.

This was a nationwide phenomenon 20 years ago in the US. It happened in North Carolina, Washington State, California, Florida, and elsewhere. It was a paranoid witch hunt based on the ramblings of psychological “scientists” who had the incompetence of global warming advocates. Chick prosecutors latched onto the situation, and never suffered any consequences for their gross behavior.

The abuse of authority by State’s Attorneys in every liberal state in the Union is notorious. Their constant appeal to the danger of abuse by conservatives has led them each and every one into an abyss of malevolent prosecution. Our courts are daily filled with travesty such as this family suffered.
The system is so badly broken that justice is no longer possible in states such as NY, MASS, MD, FL, CA and more. The accused are guilty, period. There is no trial, only conviction. The law has become a weapon of destruction used in the pursuit of purely political persecution.

The underlying “theory” was “repressed memory.” Generally, state-paid quacks repeated bizarre scenarios enough to preschoolers so that they regurgitated it to juries.

One of the most notorious was the Little Rascals debacle in North Carolina. It was so heartwrenching that PBS broadcast two exposes while it was still in progress, but to no avail. Innocent people got railroaded by prosecutors that were weirdos in their own right, well before Mike Nifong’s time. In Washington state, it was a Spokane TV beat reporter who blew the whistle on the Wenatchee case, and his career fizzled shortly afterward. The press enabled the prosecution teams, with only few exceptions like those above.
