I’m a Howie Carr guy myself. :-) I gave up on Jay when he started demagoguing the Iraq campaign and went back to Howie. The funniest thing Howie said yesterday was that Scott Brown even looked good in the attack ads. He could be dragging a woman into a back alley with a coat hanger in his hand and he still looked good. - Made me laugh out loud.

Funny, I’ve never listened to Howie Carr. But I’ve got him on WRKO. He’s interviewing Gerald Amirault.

Yes, Jay always seemed like a not very nice phony in some way, while Howie’s a gem.

But if I might ask, what’s Jay’s take on it generally and on Obama’s visit? Thanks.

My impression of a typical Jay Severin session:

“Ken from car – how are you?”
“Jay! Great to talk to you! First time caller, longtime listener. I love your show and –“
“Thank you.”
“And I wanted to say –“
“Thank you. I have the best job in the world. It’s all because of you and people like you. You are the best and brightest and it is my pleasure to take your call. What’s on your mind?”
“Well, I –“
“It’s all yours. I’m eager to hear to from you.”
“Uhhhhh. Thanks. Uuhhhhh. I wanted to –“
“Go ahead.”
“Well, I was in the Air Force for 13 years and –“
“Thank you.”
“Oh, well, I –“
“Thank you. Thank you for your service. It’s people like you who make me proud to be an American. You are the best and brightest. Go ahead.”
“Thanks Jay. I –“
“No, Thank you. I mean it. What’s on your mind?”
“Well, I just wanted to say that I saw Martha Coakley on TV and –“
“I’m sorry.”
“What?”
“I’m sorry.
“Uuuhhh –“
“I’m sorry you had to see such an unpleasant person in your own living room. Not the sort of person you’d invite over for a pleasant evening, eh?”
“Uuuuhhhh, No, I guess I –“
“Nor I, my friend. Nor I. What’s on your mind?”
“Well, she mentioned the tax on banks, and –“
“Ken, that is an excellent topic! I will be addressing that topic in just a minute! But they’re waving at me, and I’ve got to go to a commercial! Thanks so much for the call!”

well, did he think Coakley was going to pull it out on Tuesday (with or without electoral shenanigans) or that Brown would win?

I don’t get to hear him, and cannot listen in at my work desk.
While he can irritate sometimes, he spent his previous life in politics, running campaigns, and often has on-target insight.

I searched for Severin fans here. Jay was let go from The Blaze and I was wondering how to email or tweet a msg to him. If you’re still a fan, do you have any news? If not, sorry to bother you.
