I’d be careful about taking anything at face value from a “BBC” supposed site. First of all, even if it is the BBC they have journalistic standards somewhat less than say, the National Enquirer, for anything that gets published.
The BBC TV sites are maybe even worse. :-)
So what? There has never been a conclusive link between pthalates and adverse human health. There is mounting evidence that modern pthalates have zero effect.
