I wasn't polled either, so add another vote for Tim. Schauer's true colors have come out in Washington, and it's not good for us. We know where Tim stands. He's the same guy in Washington as he is in Tipton. He's got my vote.

Looks like Marky Mark is in trouble.

All Democrats are Communists!

I noticed another common denominator here.
These dem incumbents are all going down in states where Hillary won big. Are clinton voters really racked off majorly with the Dems and Obama.
Arkansas, Ohio, Mass, NJ, Boxer losing in California. Every one of them a Clinton primary state.

Count me as a vote for Walberg.
Rooney needs to run for a state sentate seat or something to gain some legislative experience.

Damn you! I thought the headline said "Schumer!"
My bad for not reading it.

Walberg was our congressman till the NRCC threw him overboard last year and left him to lose by 2% to Schauer in this fairly firm GOP district.
As far as conservatives are concerned, none are firmer than Walberg. As a state legislator he was a founding member of the “No caucus” due to his consistent no new tax stance. As a US congressman he slept in his DC office while gas was $4 per gallon and demanded that democrats return and deal with energy policy. In the election that took him to washington he was endorsed by the Club for growth and the Minuteman PAC. This time he’s already picked up the endorsement of the pro life Eagle forum.
He’s a good HONEST man who cares about the people in the district.

And this is only the beginning ...
It’s going to be a very long, very hot summer for Congressional incumbents.

Rooney needs to run for a state sentate seat or something to gain some legislative experience. Note that both Rooney brothers in this story are Republicans as was their grandfather, the founder of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Art Rooney. They are nephews of US Ambassador to Ireland (and Obama sell-out) Dan Rooney.
The patriarch of the family, Art Rooney, was a cigar smoking, life-long Republican who succeeded spectacularly in a Democrat town, and an all around good guy who everyone loved.
If they carry any of their Grandfather's charisma, toughness and common sense, they will do well.

I only have two things against Brian Rooney. One is that he just moved to my district. People in most parts of the district are from the district, and they don't like Wayne County.
The other problem I have is that he's running against Tim Walberg. Brian talks conservative. He may be conservative. There's no maybe when it comes to Tim. I don't have to worry about Tim.

I was a campaign volunteer last cycle and got to meet Tim’s wife and daughter. What a great family! I’ve got a back problem I’m *hopefully* getting fixed next month, because I want to help out again this time, too!

Brian Rooney needs to run for an office here in the state to gain some legislative experience and to give Michiganders a feel for how he legislates.

The National Research Inc. poll, conducted for former Rep. Tim Walberg's (R-Mich.) campaign, has Walberg leading Schauer 46-37, and 50-40 with "leaners."

Walberg picks up an endorsement from Candice Miller.
"We need Tim Walberg back in the U.S. House to join us in fighting against reckless spending, trillion dollar deficits and a government takeover of health care. Tim has a proven track record of promoting economic growth and he is the strongest Republican to recapture the 7th Congressional District seat. I wholeheartedly endorse his candidacy and encourage all Republicans to unite behind Tim so we can win back Michigan's 7th District in November."

That says something. I don’t usually see Miller make endorsements.
